Sony Project Q Leak: Handheld Console May Run On Android

The latest leak suggests that Sony ‘Project Q’ could run on Android

A little while ago, we were introduced to a mystery device from Sony which was codenamed Project Q. From what we know so far, it has an 8-inch LCD screen and can run games of up to 1080p and is said to launch later this year. While there are no official specifications to it other than certain features released by PlayStation on their Twitter account, there is a certain leak we came across that you might be interested in.

An unexpected leak has hit the Twitter space (or is it X now?), where user @Zuby_Tech posted a video that gives us a rough idea about what the upcoming devices would give us. In the video, Project Q was running on a Chiniese-based Android software. This is pretty unique, considering the primary competitors in the handheld gaming market right now run on SteamOS (Steam Deck) or Windows 11 (ROG Ally).

In the post, the leakster also shows what the insides of Project Q look like which is quite bare, which makes sense since you’re only able to stream PS5 games on Project Q.

Project Q is probably one of the most anticipated devices of the year, so naturally, we cannot wait to learn more about it. However, there is no official release date for Project Q, and PlayStation has yet to reveal what is the official name for this device. So for now, Project Q still remains a mystery.
