A total of 12 internal and external components in the Galaxy S23 Series are made from recycled plastic and aluminium, including the top speaker module, volume keys, power key, and more.
Besides that, the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back of the smartphone is made with an average of 22% pre-consumer recycled glass. For the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the S Pen’s inner cover is also made out of 20% repurposed fishing nets.
Samsung Mobile has been working toward its “Galaxy for the Planet” vision since 2021, with the aim of reaching net zero by 2030. With the release of the Galaxy S23 Series, Samsung has taken additional measures across the device’s lifecycle to improve its sustainability without impacting durability and innovation.
