Dyson Unveils Airstrait, Wet-to-Dry Straightener: More Impact, Less Heat & Damage

Hair needs delicate care, and we need Dyson

Table of Contents

Over decades of experience, Dyson has mastered the art of playing with powerful airflow and they have found the key to a non-damaging hair-straightening technology. With the capability of simultaneously drying and straight-styling, we introduce to you the Dyson Airstrait.

Engineered to fit all hair types, the straightener works in a different way than the conventional ones. Instead of transferring only high heat to the hair, the Dyson Airstrait dries and styles wet hair with optimal heat and controlled airflow–less damage, less frizz and flyaways.

Powered by the Dyson Hyperdymium motor, the straightener has a 13-blade impeller to spin for up to 106,000rpm. With the pressure and power of the Airstrait, over 11.9 litres of air is released through the machine per second.

A never-miss feature of the Dyson hair care range is the Intelligent Heat Control. The Airstrait can measure the airflow temperature up to 15 times per second to avoid heat damage and ensure the hair’s natural shine stays intact. Should any excessive heat be detected by the microprocessor, it will immediately regulate the heating element.

There are three modes that it operates on: ‘Wet’, ‘Dry’ and ‘Cool’. The temperature ranges from 80°C to 140°C and airflow control can be set to suit the usage necessarily–low flow, high flow, root drying mode and cold shot. For ‘Wet’ and ‘Dry’, the modes are pre-set with specific heat and airflow combinations to establish the best results.

The Dyson Airstrait straightener will be available in selected regions globally. Timings will vary from place to place and more details will be shared on the availability in Malaysia soon! Stay tuned for updates on the Airstrait from us or you may visit Dyson Malaysia's Instagram and Facebook.
