FreeYond, a China-based company, has recently made its debut in the Malaysian market. With its debut, they have announced 5 new products with two of those products being budget-friendly smartphones, which are the Freeyond M5 and the Freeyond F9.

The FreeYond M5 packs a 6.52-inch IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, which is also supported by the Unisoc T606 processor which can balance performance with power consumption, ensuring a smooth user experience.
With a staggering 5000 mAh battery, the FreeYond M5 will be able to last for 30 days depending on the usage. It also supports 18W Fast Charging which allows the phone to be fully charged in 2.5 hours. For those who wish to charge the phone overnight, you can rest easy as the battery has multiple power supply protection systems that prevent the phone from overcharging and overheating, making it an efficient and safe phone.
Besides those features, the FreeYond M5 comes installed with a triple camera system. Among them is the 50 MP main camera which makes the details come to life, an 8MP with a 115-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro camera. Alongside the triple camera system is the 8MP front camera that allows you to take a clear selfie.

Similar to the M5, the FreeYond F9 also has a 6.52-inch LCD screen but that is where the similarity ends as it uses the Spreadtrum UniSoC SC9863A1 as its processor, which uses less power while having a longer battery life.
The FreeYond F9 has a 5000 mAh battery which allows the phone to can last for 2-3 days. Unlike the M5, this phone does not have fast charging, so it might take longer for this phone to be fully charged.
There is a dual camera system on the FreeYond F9, which is the 13MP Ultra Clear Main Camera that captures your memorable moments with crystal clear pictures, and a 2MP Macro Camera, which allows you to see the minute details of an insect or a flower. Lastly, the FreeYond F9 has an 8MP Front Camera which makes your face sparkle when you are on a video call.
Pricing and Availability
With 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space, the FreeYond M5 will be available for RM 699. However, the FreeYond F9 comes in two variants. The first variant is priced at RM 399 as it comes with 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space, while the second variant costs RM 499 with 3 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space.
