We’ve seen our share of foldable phones, but the OPPO Find N2 Flip, released just last week, was an interesting one. In one way, it’s really just another foldable phone, but at the same time, it also changed the game for foldables down the line.
We reviewed the Find N2 Flip not too long ago. One of our favourite features on the phone was definitely the Cover Screen, which is the largest yet of all foldables. At 3.26”, the AMOLED Cover Screen comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which is sturdy enough to withstand everyday knocks as smartphones are prone to.
A bigger Cover Screen makes a world of difference, really. Instead of having to squint at the screen for tiny icons when a notification comes in, you can actually read and reply to messages. Plus, taking selfies and previewing photos from the Cover Screen is much easier, since you can actually see your face!
So far, there are only six widgets that you can have on your Find N2 Flip Cover Screen: Camera, Weather, Timer, Recorder, Calendar, and Earbud controls. These six covers (pun intended) pretty much most functionalities that you’d need quickly, but it still makes for a pretty limited experience considering there are so much more possibilities here.
Thankfully, OPPO has announced that they will be adding more selections in the coming months. One of the confirmed upcoming widgets is the Spotify widget, which OPPO showed off during the launch. This means that we’ll soon be able to control music without having to open up the phone too!
The Spotify widget will be available in April, with the rollout starting on April 15, according to OPPO.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip is available for preorders in Malaysia at RM3,999, with an ETA of 20 Mar onwards according to the website. OPPO will also be offering a pair of free OPPO Enco Air3, a free PU case, and 1-year free extended warranty for every pre-order.
