Dior Showcases New Spin On Iconic Piece—The Lady 95.22

Timeless redesign in homage to the icon

Table of Contents

During the Autumn/Winter 2022 Haute Couture Show, Dior announced they would like to revisit traditional items to “conceive the lines of tomorrow”, and to have those items be remade for the modern world.

One of the items that were showcased during the event was the Lady 95.22 bag. The number 95 is an indication of the year when the bag was first manufactured, and the 22 in the name is the year the bag was modified to suit the looks of today.

The bag was once known as the Chouchou bag, but it was renamed the Lady Diana bag after the former French First Lady, Lady Bernadette Chirac, gifted the bag to Princess Diana and she carried it around with her ever since. Last year, Maria Grazia Chiuri redesigned the bag and named it the Lady 95.22 to make it fit the modern era.

Made of soft lambskin topstitched with the iconic Cannage motif, the Lady 95.22 bag spots a modern look with gentle curves and a new maxi-cannage pattern that gives off a contemporary look to the bag. It exudes an attractive, eye-catching vibe.

The Lady 95.22 bag comes in two different colours of black and latte consisting of three different sizes of small, medium, and extra-large, finishing off with stylish ruthenium and pale gold.
