vivo X90 Series Launching Today With the First MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Chip System

Designed for a better mobile photography experience!

vivo will be launching their X90 Series later today as the first flagship smartphone in Malaysia to come with the new MediaTek Dimensity 9200. Utilising a dual-chip system, the X90 Series will also be powered by vivo’s newly self-developed V2 chipset, making it the most powerful flagship smartphone by the brand to date.

Recently launched in November last year, the Dimensity 9200 chipset is an 8-core flagship CPU that employs a new TSMC 4nm process, giving users incredible performance with intelligent power efficiency.

As the first smartphone to carry the Dimensity 9200 chipset, the vivo X90 Series introduces five major functions that enhances the processor’s capabilities.

  • MCQ Multi-Cycle Queue can support up to 8 channels of CPU-to-UFS data transmission for smoother daily usage
  • APU Framework Fusion stores the Dimensity 9200’s capabilities in the V2 chipset. It allows the platform’s algorithm to be coordinated across multiple processors and brings significant energy efficiency pimprovements.
  • Chip-level eye protection technology reduces blue light and improves screen colour effects.
  • Self-adaptive image quality mode allows users to experience close to 120Hz frame rate during gaming and reduces power consumption by 18% even at the highest graphics settings
  • AI airport mode saves an average of 30% energy when the phone is in flight mode, and restores network connectivity quickly when flight mode is turned off.

At the same time, vivo’s new self-developed V2 chipset gives users a better mobile photography experience with better image quality. With a new-generation noise reduction algorithm and MEMC Frame Interpolation support, the X90 Series will perform better in low light and be able to capture smoother videos.

The V2 chipset also features a dedicated SRAM (Static RAM) cache unit to improve power efficiency by 200% compared to classic RAMs.

Designed for ultimate performance and photography experience, the vivo X90 will also be the first smartphone to carry the ZEISS 11-inch main camera. Combined with the dual-chips system, it will be able to perform better in low-light situations, including shooting 2K Ultra-Sensing Night Video, 4K HDR Night Video, Nautical Blues Portrait, ZEISS Cine-flare Portrait and more.

The vivo X90 Series will be launching later today, and you can watch the livestream on their Facebook page
