Shopee Gift Cards are some of the most popular gift ideas among Malaysians. What with the number of things you can get from Shopee; it's a great gift to help someone take a few Ringgits off their shopping cart.
All was well until early this December 2022, when it wasn't possible to purchase any amount of vouchers from the Shopee App.
Not only that; according to a reader of ours, the issue had affected their ability to use their gift voucher which was purchased just 2 months ago. Note that Shopee Gift card vouchers have a usual validity of 12 months from the date of purchase.
The reader had earlier purchased gift cards for their own social media followers. Upon finding out that the gift cards couldn't work, they reached out to Shopee's customer service for assistance.
It seems that there is not much the Shopee MY team can help with for now. Our reader did share that a refund was possible at this point, though they were disappointed to retract the gift voucher.
