For the first time ever, Samsung held the Display Tech Summit 2022 in Bangkok, inviting some 230 enterprise customers, tech enthusiasts and pro audio-visual partners from across Southeast Asia and Oceania region over a two-day event.
During the inaugural Summit, Samsung launched The Wall IAB and IWB series, the brand's cutting-edge Micro LED displays, which offer immersive viewing experiences in a high-resolution and large screen format.
The Wall was first launched in 2018 when Samsung pioneered Micro LED displays by launching the world's first consumer modular Micro LED 146" display. Since its launch, The Wall has been used to provide customer premium experiences globally, including in Thailand's biggest property development project, The Forestias.
The Wall All-In-One (IAB Series)
Now, with The Wall All-In-One (also known as the IAB series), Samsung makes this huge screen ever more accessible by simplifying its installation process. The IAB series, measuring only 49mm thick, takes two hours for two people to install, and comes with a pre-adjusted seam and pre-assembled frame kit which includes an embedded media player.
The Wall IAB series comes in three models:
- 4K 146-inch
- 2K 146-inch
- 2K 110-inch
The Wall (IWB Series)
Available in 0.63 and 0.94 pixel pitches, The Wall IWB Series has the slimmest ever pixel pitch in The Wall lineup, allowing it to deliver detailed pictures with dynamic range expansion with the screen's 120Hz frame rate. Thanks to the low pixel pitch, users can get up close and personal to The Wall displays and see no difference in picture resolution.
For reference: Pixel pitch describes the distance in millimetres from the centre of one pixel to the centre of another. Also known as dot pitch, the smaller the pixel pitch, the denser the image is - and thus the higher the resolution.
The Wall IWB Series comes in a variety of screen sizes as well, from 4K 100-inch up to 8K 220-inch. This model can be installed in a variety of positions to meet customer needs, allowing flexibility without size, shape, and structure limits.
All models in The Wall lineup feature Black Seal Technology, which enables purer black levels with enhanced depth and details. Besides that, The Wall IAB and IWB series also have Ultra Chroma technology, allowing the display to produce purer and more accurate RGB colours.
To amp up the image quality, the 20-bit processing and Micro AI processor present extraordinary contrast ratio and smooth tonal gradients while removing noise instantly.
Finally, The Wall also supports Multi View, which enables simultaneous playback of content from up to 4 sources on one screen without the need for a video splitter.
