Samsung has recently released the new Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4. As the most powerful foldable devices yet from Samsung, these two devices will be receiving 4 major Android updates and 5 years of security update support.
Android Updates
Out of the box, the Galaxy Z Fold4 runs the One UI 4.1.1 OS based on the brand new Android 12L, the first of its kind, while the Flip4's same One UI 4.1.1 is based on Android 12. Both of these phones will be receiving all major Android updates up to Android 16, including:
- One UI 5.0 based on Android 13
- One UI 6.0 based on Android 14
- One UI 7.0 based on Android 15
- One UI 8.0 based on Android 16
Security Updates
Samsung has just announced that new additions to the Galaxy Z series, the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4, will also be included in their lineup of devices which will have four years of Android update with five years of security upgrades. This means you can use your new foldable until the end of 2027!
