OPPO has just revealed some exciting new tech and devices in their Tech Autumn Launch event today, including the newest entry in their flagship Reno series, an update to their popular OPPO Enco Air2 earpods, and even a brand new tablet. the OPPO Air Pad!
The OPPO Reno8 Series 5G
The OPPO Reno8 Series 5G was officially introduced, with two new models, the standard version and a pro variant with slight differences. designed to be a Portrait Expert in every aspect, the Reno8 Pro 5G is equipped with a series of innovative camera features to help users shoot ultra-clear portraits in even the most challenging scenarios.
- New Cameras
The OPPO Reno8 Series 5G takes its photography game to the next level, with new and improved night shots thanks to OPPO’s self-developed MariSilicon X NPU Imaging processor.
It utilises Dual Sony Flagship Sensors, with the front camera now able to achieve a 60% increase in light intake and a 35% improvement for noise reduction. The rear camera now delivers an enhanced flagship-level portrait experience, as well as the ability to shoot 4K Ultra Night Videos, as well as 4K Ultra HDR Videos.
As a result of all these improvements, the OPPO Reno8 Series 5G boasts one of the best smartphone cameras on the market thanks to both its hardware and software.
- Brand New Look
The phone has also gotten a makeover in terms of its look, with a new Streamlined Unibody Design that makes it comfortable to hold and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It comes in Glazed Green and Glazed Black colours.
The Reno8 5G will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display that runs at a 90Hz refresh rate, while the Reno8 Pro 5G has a 6.7-inch Ultra Clear AMOLED Display that runs at a refresh rate of 120Hz, with support for HDR10+.
- All-Round Smooth Performance
The Reno8 5G will use the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1300 5G-integrated SoC, with at least 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Meanwhile, the 5nm MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX integrated 5G SOC will be used on the Reno8 Pro 5G, which comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM storage.
To improve heat dissipation, the Reno8 5G uses a Super-Conductive Vapour Chamber (VC) Liquid Cooling System, while the Reno8 Pro 5G uses a Ultra-Conductive Cooling System. As such, both phones will always run smoothly within a comfortable temperature range.
- Improved Charging and Battery
Charging and battery life has also experienced a significant upgrade with OPPO’s 0W SUPERVOOC ™ charge technology, brought over from the Find X5 Pro to here. This latest charging system now allows the 4500mAh capacity phone to be charged to 50% in just 11 minutes. It also holds a TÜV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System certification, meaning it’s always safe to use even with the rapid charging speed.

The OPPO Pad Air
The launch also saw the introduction of the OPPO Pad Air, here to help you work, study, and play, in new and innovative ways through their versatile range of features.
With Dolby Atmos Quad-Speakers, an ultra large 2K screen, all housed within a sturdy yet lightweight body, and even multiple unique ColorOS features that help with multitasking, this tablet is not to be missed.
The OPPO Pad Air is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon® 680 Mobile Platform, an eight-core architecture processor that allows users to easily multitask.
For true and brilliant colours, the device is equipped with a large 10.36-inch 2K screen that supports 1B colours. The display not only delivers smooth colour transition and HD+ quality, its’ 120Hz touch sampling rate also ensures minimal lag. To reduce eye fatigue, the display is also TÜV Rheinland-certified for low blue light eye protection.
The four Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers ensure better sound clarity and create an immersive surround sound experience. This allows users to enjoy a 3D sound experience when they play sound sources that use Dolby sound effects or Dolby Atmos.
Its large 7,100 mAh battery allows you to watch videos for up to 12 hours, attend video conferences for 15 hours, or read e-books for 16 hours. The battery can easily last the whole day, be it for work, entertainment, or online classes.
Thanks to the upgraded ColorOS for Pad Operating system, the tablet is able to incorporate two new Multi-Screen Connect functions, namely file drag and drop and clipboard sharing, and smart interactions, including two-finger split screen, four-finger floating window, and Smart Sidebar.
When a phone is connected to the tablet, you can directly drag and drop photos and videos taken by the phone to the tablet for processing, making file transfers easier and faster. In addition, you can copy text on either device or paste it onto the other device.
The OPPO Pad Air comes in one colour, Fog Grey, and will have two different variants depending on the vendor, with a 4GB + 64GB model and a 4GB + 128GB model.

The OPPO Enco Air2 Pro
Besides tablets and phones, OPPO also revealed the continuation of their popular OPPO Enco Air2, the OPPO Enco Air 2 Pro. Their latest true wireless noise cancelling earbuds boasts a 12.4 mm titanized diaphragm driver, wide sound fields, potent bass, crystal-clear vocals, and active noise cancellation (ANC).
It delivers powerful bass through its 12.4mm titanized diaphragm driver, custom-made large rear chamber, and Enco Live bass tuning, but also delivers clean, clearly layered vocals, making it perfect for either hip-hop, pop, rock, or even instrumental songs.
The active noise cancellation, or ANC, cancels out ambient noise to provide you with the most immersive experience possible when you’re listening to your music, but also provides a Transparency Mode so you can still hear your environment and stay alert of your surroundings without ever having to take your earbuds off.
The case itself has also gotten an update, this time in the form of a second transparent layer reminiscent of a bubble, designed to capture the spotlight.
The ergonomics of the earbuds have also been improved so now they are more comfortable and users are less likely to experience longtime wear fatigue. Factor in the fact that it’s IP54 certified for dust and water resistance, and it becomes a great workout companion.

For connectivity, the OPPO Enco Air2 Pro uses Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring low-latency transmissions for an enjoyable playback. The earbuds can reach an ever lower latency while gaming, going as low as 94ms.
The earbuds themselves also sport smart touch features, such as double tapping to snap a picture.
