First announced at the WWDC22 on 6 June 2022, the MacBook Air M2 finally has a release month according to Apple’s website! This new generation of Apple’s MacBook Air will be available in July 2022.
Redesigned around the next-generation M2 chip, the MacBook Air M2 proclaims to bring exceptional speed and power efficiency within its slim and durable all-aluminium enclosure. Measuring just 1.24kg in weight and 1.13cm in thickness, it’s an ultra-fast, ultra-capable laptop that combines portability with power.
Powered by Apple’s new M2 chip, the MacBook Air M2 houses up to a 10-core GPU, so you can work with more streams of 4K and 8K ProRes video with up to 18 hours of battery life. On the display side, the MacBook Air M2 sports a 13.6” Liquid Retina display that’s the biggest and brightest ever on its line, with support for 1 billion colours.
According to the website, the MacBook Air M2 is priced at RM5,499 for the base model featuring an 8-core GPU, 8GB unified memory and 256GB SSD. The 10-core GPU, 512GB SSD model will set you back RM6,699. The models will come with a 2m USB-C to MagSafe Cable and a USB-C power adapter.
