OPPO is back with another high-end photography gadget under their Reno series, announcing the latest Reno7 Z 5G model.
For Malaysia, all OPPO Reno7 Z 5G units are powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G processor, equipped with Bokeh Flare Portrait and Selfie HDR imaging features, and complemented by the industry-first Dual Orbit Lights.
Together with OPPO’s signature OPPO Glow design, the Reno7 Z 5G is a 5G smartphone that's designed to create professional portrait photography for your diverse lifestyles.

Beyond Imaginable - Portrait Photography
The Reno7 5G series is one that is more or less defined by its camera features, and this one is no different. It comes with four cameras: a 64MP main, a 2MP macro, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP selfie camera.
- Bokeh Flare Portrait is a software that captures pretty bokeh in the background, much like the ones found in pictures shot on professional cameras. It works by distinguishing between the human subject and the background, enhancing the brightness of the subject while blurring the background and boosting the bokeh light spots. The algorithm's edge detection on the main subject has been also improved, masking hair and shirt particles to make exceptionally clear pictures.
- Selfie HDR allows the user to use their front-facing camera in dimly lit conditions. It uses an algorithm to determine background light and suppress bright light when a backlit face or a bright background is detected, ensuring both the subject and background are captured in beautiful detail.
Multidimensional Colours - Ultra-Slim Design
OPPO has also introduced a new body for the Reno7 Z 5G, which is described to be an ‘Ultra-Slim Retro Design’, available in two new colours, Rainbow Spectrum and Cosmic Black.
Cosmic Black is designed with a triple-layered texture which is a double-layered coating that gives the back a unique matte finish but with a glittery appearance. OPPO Reno7 Z 5G is the first smartphone to use this spliced gloss and matte texture, which is said to reduce redundant material found on other smartphones’ camera modules.
Meanwhile, the Rainbow Spectrum colour uses a two-layer coating of red, yellow, and green radiant and a reflective indium base, which is how it achieves its rather unique colouring.
Dual Orbit Lights
Marking its debut in the Reno7 Z 5G, the Dual Orbit Lights are discreetly integrated behind the two primary cameras. Here, notification lights turn into different shades of blue depending on the scenario; when the phone is powering on, charging, receiving an incoming call or unread notification, as well as launching a game.
5G and Snapdragon 695 and ColorOS 12
OPPO Reno7 Z 5G is one of the first phones to utilize the new Snapdragon 695 processor. It features a 4,500mAh battery and 33W SUPERVOOC flash charging that enables the device to be 100% charged in 63 minutes or make three hours of calls on a charge of just 5 minutes.
The phone weighs around 170 grams, with a thickness of 7.55mm for the Rainbow Spectrum model and 7.49mm for the Cosmic Black. It also has a 6.4 inch AMOLED display that runs at 60hz, certified for HD with Netflix and Amazon Prime.
The Reno7 Z 5G comes with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM which is fitted with OPPO’s RAM Expansion technology (up to 5GB). Reno7 Z 5G comes with ColorOS 12 preinstalled, which includes features such as Air Gestures, AI System Booster, Quick Startup, Game Focus Mode, AI Frame Rate Stabilizer and Omoji.
'Mark of Distinction'
For users' assurance, the OPPO Reno7 Z 5G is also one of the first smartphones to receive the top-level A rating in the TÜV SÜD 36-Month Fluency certification. This certification is conducted by the technical inspection association TÜV SÜD to assess the continued fluency of electronic devices based on two or three years of use.
