What is the eBelia campaign about?
As part of an initiative to support the cashless payment movement within youths, the government has allocated a total of RM300million to provide eligible youths & students with RM150 eWallet credit starting from June 1, 2021.
Participating eWallets are ShopeePay, Touch 'n Go, BigPay and Boost. They all have more than 1 million participating online and offline merchants.
Under the Budget 2021 announcement, the initial payout from Malaysia's Finance Ministry was RM100 per user with a total allocation of RM200million.
Thanks to the additional RM100million allocation from Pemerkasa (Strategic Programme to Empower the People and Economy), the payout for eligible recipients is now RM150 per eWallet credit.

Good news for Shopee customers! On top of the eBelia RM150 claim for youths and students; those who choose to activate their ShopeePay Premium eWallet will also get an additional RM5.
The period to claim the credit will be from 1 June - 22 July 2021. Credit should be spent by 31 July 2021.
Eligibility (either one):
- Born between 2001 - 2003
- Enrolled in courses at public or private higher learning institutions (HEIs)
The claims are only eligible to the first 50,000 participants. It is advisable to download the ShopeePay app before 1 June 2021 for a smoother process.
