If you film your own cycling, hiking or skate sessions in Malaysia, the hardest part is usually the filming itself. Someone has to hold the camera, or you prop it somewhere and hope the framing holds. Antigravity, the drone brand incubated by Insta360, is trying to take that job off your hands. It has added two new ways to fly the Antigravity A1, its 8K 360 drone, in Malaysia: a Follow Me Bundle built for hands-free tracking, and a Remote Controller for pilots who want manual control.
The A1 first reached Malaysia in March 2026 as the first drone to capture everything around it in 8K 360. Neither of these additions changes the drone itself. They change how you steer it, and how it keeps you in the shot.

The Follow Me Bundle: the Antigravity A1 films you while you move

The Follow Me Bundle pairs the A1 with a set of wearable controls: a Ring Remote, a Watch Remote with built-in GNSS, Full-Coverage Propeller Guards, a crossbody bag and a high-capacity battery. Because the A1 records a full 360 sphere, it captures everything around it at once, so you choose the angle after you land rather than locking it in before you take off. The pitch is aimed at people who would rather pay attention to the activity than to the camera.
Tracking leans on two systems working together: visual tracking from the drone, and the GNSS positioning built into the Watch Remote. Antigravity says that combination holds up better during fast movement and brief moments when the drone loses sight of you, which are the two points where follow-me footage usually falls apart. The Ring Remote adds a Drag-to-Fly mode, where you guide the drone as if it were on an invisible string, plus a gesture that lets you grab and reposition it by hand.
A Remote Controller for manual flight
The second addition is a Remote Controller that brings familiar dual-stick controls to the A1, for creators who want to compose a shot rather than let the drone decide. Antigravity has paired it with a Fixed View mode that aligns the view with the drone's heading, and a Virtual Gimbal that adjusts the camera angle mid-flight. The company points to Tail Whip shots, where the perspective turns back on itself the way you would glance over your shoulder, as the kind of move the sticks make possible.

"Our latest offerings reflect our commitment to elevating the drone experience," said Michael Shabun, CEO of Antigravity, framing the accessories as the next step for the A1's ecosystem.
What it can film
According to Antigravity's product page, the A1 records 8K 360 video, capturing the whole sphere around the drone in one flight so you pick the angle afterwards rather than before take-off, the idea Antigravity calls "fly first, frame later". It weighs 249g, and Antigravity rates its flight time at up to 39 minutes on the high-capacity battery and 24 minutes on the standard one, tested at 5.2K 30fps. For a solo creator that means a full ride or hike filmed from above and around you, then reframed into ordinary flat clips in the edit. Antigravity's page does not list a log colour profile.

Where the Antigravity A1 sits now
Follow-me flying is getting busy. We recently looked at the HoverAir Versa, a gimbal-style flying camera with its own Malaysia catch, and the wider Insta360 family keeps growing, including the Leica-lens Insta360 Luna Pro pocket camera. The A1's argument against them is the 360 capture: instead of choosing one angle to track, it records the whole sphere and lets you find the shot afterwards. The new Full-Coverage Propeller Guards matter here too, because the casual, low-altitude flying these accessories encourage is exactly where a drone meets people and obstacles. If this is your first drone, it is worth checking the current local rules on registering and flying one before you go out.
Antigravity A1 price and availability in Malaysia

The Follow Me Bundle and the Remote Controller are on sale now through Insta360 Malaysia's physical stores nationwide, and the Insta360 Official Store on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok. Malaysian pricing as announced on 21 October:
- Follow Me Bundle (A1 drone, Ring Remote, Watch Remote, Full-Coverage Propeller Guards, crossbody bag, high-capacity battery): RM2,799
- Accessories Kit (Ring Remote, Watch Remote, Full-Coverage Propeller Guards): RM1,499, or RM1,199 with the launch promotion
- Remote Controller on its own: RM379, or RM299 with the launch promotion
- Remote Controller Bundle (A1, Vision Goggles, Remote Controller, three high-capacity batteries, Quick Reader, spare propellers, sling bag): RM7,499
The RM1,199 and RM299 promotional prices were announced as a 20% launch discount for existing and new Motion Control Bundle buyers, so check the store listing for whether it still applies.
None of this makes the A1 cheaper to get into, but it does make it more flexible once you own one. The Follow Me Bundle is the one to watch for Malaysian creators: a 360 camera that flies itself, keeps you in frame, and leaves the framing decision for after the ride. The full line-up is on the official Antigravity A1 page.
