Malaysians curious about how artificial intelligence fits into everyday life have a reason to visit 1 Utama this week. The CelcomDigi Tech Fair 2026 is running from 23 to 27 September at the Oval Concourse on the Lower Ground floor, pairing hands-on AI demonstrations with retail deals that appear twice a day.
Now in its third year, the fair carries the theme "Work, Live and Play Smarter with AI". CelcomDigi has brought in technology partners including Samsung, HONOR, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi and Google, so visitors can try the latest AI-enabled smartphones, foldables, smart devices and connectivity services in person instead of reading about them.
What is on the floor
The layout is built around interactive exhibits, live demonstrations and short talks. An AI co-host named AIRA guides parts of the event, and the Tech Talks cover practical ground: online safety and cybersecurity, workplace productivity, content creation, smart mobility, and the newest AI phones and foldables. Live humanoid robot performances run alongside the exhibits.
It is the retail-facing side of a wider push CelcomDigi has been making on AI this year, from its Sophia assistant for small businesses to AI features rolled out across its 20-million-strong customer base.
The deals worth timing your visit around
The headline savings are tied to specific hours, so timing matters. Tech Hour Deals run at 11am and 6pm daily, with discounts CelcomDigi says reach up to 87 percent. Postpaid 5G 80 principal-line customers and above can buy selected products at sharply cut prices: the Harman Kardon Luna 2 and DJI NEO 2 for RM99, or the Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Watch9 for RM199. Both offers are limited to 100 units per session and subject to availability.
There are lower-effort perks too. Spend at least RM100 on a single receipt and you can add selected accessories for RM20, capped at the first 150 customers each day. A daily lucky draw at 9pm puts smartphones, smart devices, luggage and other prizes up for grabs, with CelcomDigi valuing the daily prize pool at RM350,000.
Entertainment fans get a separate reason to turn up: cast members from Viu and iQIYI appear for meet-and-greet sessions on 26 and 27 September.

The fair follows a run of hardware-led promotions from the telco, including its recent iPhone 18 Pro bundle with rewards.
