realme has officially launched the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition in Malaysia, and the details the earlier announcement was missing are now here. It goes on sale from 21 September at RM2,699, as a global limited edition of just 5,000 units, built with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products for fans of the wizarding world.

A price, a date, and only 5,000 units
The phone is available from 21 September through official realme Brand Stores, authorised dealers, and the official Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop channels. At RM2,699 it sits above the standard 16 Pro 5G, and the limited run of 5,000 units worldwide is the part collectors will note first.
realme is also running a Welcome to Hogwarts pop-up at the Blue Concourse, Sunway Pyramid from 21 to 27 September. Buy the phone at the event and realme is bundling free gifts worth more than RM1,200, alongside a lucky draw for a motorbike, trade-in offers with extended warranty, and four house challenge games with custom Harry Potter merchandise to win. The venue is styled after Hogwarts' Great Hall and the four house common rooms.
Hogwarts design, down to the crests
The edition wears a Brown finish with an Argyle leather texture inspired by the Wizard's Chess scene, a Hedwig-inspired camera surround, and a "Welcome to Hogwarts" line laser-engraved on the metal mid-frame. The standout trick sits at the centre of the back: the four Hogwarts house crests use what realme calls the world's first Quadra Light-Sensing Colour-changing Technology, so under sunlight each crest reveals its house colour. The theming carries into the software too, with Hogwarts-styled wallpapers, icons and animations across a custom interface.
Unboxing a 1:1 Hogwarts trunk
The box is part of the pitch. It is a 1:1 replica of Harry Potter's trunk, and inside is a set of themed extras: a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a Platform 9 3/4 train ticket, house-crest bookmarks, character postcards, a phone case embossed with the Hogwarts logo, and a phone pin. For a special edition, the packaging is doing as much work as the phone.
Cameras and the matching earbuds
On the hardware side, realme points to a 200MP LumaColor camera with TUV-certified LumaColor IMAGE processing for portraits with bokeh and natural skin tones. Buyers who want the full set can also pick up the realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition at RM399, which come in a charging case shaped like a miniature version of the same trunk.
Another franchise crossover
This is not realme's first franchise phone. It follows the realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition, another Warner Bros. Discovery collaboration, and the brand's wider habit of tying hardware to names people already know, including the Aston Martin design work on the realme GT 7 series. With a Malaysian price, a launch date and a genuine collectible angle, the Harry Potter edition is now a real buying decision rather than a teaser.
