Picture moving one screen from the dining table to the kitchen counter, then wheeling it into the bedroom to finish a series in bed. That is the idea behind Acer's new CA1 smart monitors, which arrived in Malaysia today as a display designed to follow you around the house rather than stay bolted to a desk.

A smart monitor built to move
The CA1 series comes in two sizes: the 27-inch CA271 and the 31.5-inch CA321QK. Both sit on a wheeled ErgoStand that rolls across the floor, and the height, tilt and orientation all adjust so the screen suits you whether you are seated at a table, standing in the kitchen or reclining on the sofa. A built-in battery keeps it running for up to three hours off the plug, so a quick move between rooms does not mean hunting for a power point.
A TV, a second screen and a video-call display in one
Both models use VA panels with wide viewing angles and reach up to 4K UHD resolution with up to 85% DCI-P3 colour coverage. They run on Android, so Netflix, YouTube and Google services are built in, and up to 10-point touch support plus onboard Wi-Fi means you can browse and stream straight from the monitor without plugging in a laptop.
Wireless screen mirroring casts content from a phone or laptop without a cable, and the monitors can join a home Wi-Fi network as part of a wider smart-home setup. Bluetooth lets you pair a keyboard and mouse for work or external speakers for films, while an 8MP camera handles video calls and comes with a physical sliding cover for privacy when it is switched off. Acer backs the range with a three-year pick-up and return warranty.

The CA1 runs on Android with Google services and Play Store support built in.
Malaysian price and launch offer
The CA321QK is priced at RM3,499 and is on sale now through authorised Acer resellers and the Acer eStore. The CA271 is RM2,699 and open for pre-order from today until 30 September 2026. Buyers who pick up a CA1 monitor before that date get a free Acer portable monitor: the CA321QK ships with a PM191QE worth RM469, while CA271 pre-orders come with a PM161QJ2 worth RM299, while stocks last.
A gaming option: the Predator X27U W2
Alongside the CA1, Acer also introduced the Predator X27U W2 for gamers. It is a 26.5-inch QD-OLED panel at WQHD resolution with 99% DCI-P3 coverage and a colour accuracy rating of Delta E under 2, a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time. NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible support and HDMI 2.1 round out a display built for fast, colour-accurate play. It sells for RM1,799, and buyers get the same PM161QJ2 portable monitor worth RM299 free until 30 September 2026.
Why it matters
Portable, stand-mounted screens have grown into a small category of their own, following living-room displays like Samsung's home-hub smart monitors. Acer's own 27-inch CS272 smart monitor pointed in this direction earlier, but the CA1 leans harder into mobility with its wheels and battery. For a household that wants one screen to work, watch and call on without tying it to a single room, the CA1 makes a straightforward case, and the bundled portable monitor sweetens an already flexible setup.
