If you have been holding out for a phone upgrade before Merdeka, the timing has landed. realme's 8.8 Double Digit Sale starts at 8pm tonight on Shopee and Lazada, with a TikTok Shop leg already running, and the discounts reach up to 50% off across phones, earbuds and wearables.

The three platforms run on different clocks and different deals, so it is worth knowing which one has the model you want before the countdown starts.

realme 8.8 deals on Shopee

The Shopee 8.8 Merdeka Sale runs from 8pm on 7 August to 8 August 2026, with up to 18% Shopee cashback and free shipping vouchers on top of the discounts.

  • realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition: as low as RM4,299, down from RM4,699, with a free Cooling Clip worth RM149. This is the Aston Martin-styled version of the phone we covered when the GT 8 Pro launched in Malaysia at RM4,299.
  • realme 15 Pro 5G (12GB + 256GB): as low as RM1,655, down from RM1,799, with a free selfie stick and realme Techlife Buds worth RM198.
  • realme P4 Power 5G: as low as RM1,802.

realme 8.8 deals on Lazada

The Lazada 8.8 Gemilang Sale starts at the same hour but runs longer, from 8pm on 7 August to 10 August 2026, with up to 8% platform vouchers and free shipping vouchers.

  • realme 16 Pro+ 5G: as low as RM2,499, with a free Smart Band and Cooling Clip worth RM248.
  • realme C85: as low as RM999, down from RM1,099. The 5G version of this budget line is the one that arrived in Malaysia as a Guinness World Record holder.

TikTok's 8.8 LIVE Madness started earliest, on 3 August, and ends on 8 August 2026, with free shipping vouchers included.

  • realme 15 5G: as low as RM1,349, down from RM1,499, with a free selfie stick worth RM99.
  • realme P4 Lite: as low as RM499, down from RM699.
  • realme C100i: as low as RM599, with free Buds Classic 2 worth RM39.

Is this actually a better price than last month?

Double-digit sales come round every month, so the honest question is whether waiting would get you more. On the evidence of realme's 7.7 sale in July, the headline "up to 50% off" figure has stayed flat month to month, and what changes is which models are on the table and how much the bundled gifts are worth. The free gifts here, up to RM248 on Lazada and RM198 on Shopee, are on the higher side.

One thing to watch: the prices above are after-voucher figures, which assume you have collected and applied the platform vouchers first. Skip that step and you pay more. Stock is limited on the sharper deals, and every price carries terms and conditions, so read the product page rather than the banner.
