The Marshall Stockwell III reaches Malaysia on 30 July 2026 at RM1,299, and it is built to be carried around, rained on, and eventually repaired rather than replaced.

What the Marshall Stockwell III changes
This is the third generation of the Stockwell, and the first since the Stockwell II arrived in 2019. The headline figure is battery life: more than 40 hours of wireless playback, enough to cover a full weekend without hunting for a socket. The acoustics have been reworked too.
The speaker uses True Stereophonic 360 degree sound, so it pushes audio out in all directions rather than asking you to sit in one spot. A feature called Dynamic Loudness adjusts the balance according to volume: at lower levels it lifts bass and treble so detail does not disappear, then evens out as you turn things up. Inside sits a 3-inch woofer driven by a 65W Class D amplifier, alongside two 1.75-inch wide-band drivers running on 31W amplifiers each. Frequency range covers 54Hz to 20kHz, with maximum SPL of 86dB at one metre.
Built for the weather, and for repair
The Stockwell III carries an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, which counts for more in Malaysia than in most markets. Poolside sessions, balcony listening and open-air gatherings are all fair game, and an afternoon downpour is not a write-off.
The design keeps the Marshall look intact: an upright body wrapped in a durable silicone sleeve, metal grilles front and back, a PU leather carry strap lined with velvet and modelled on a guitar strap, and the familiar brass control panel. That panel has been simplified this time, with an M-button for switching between presets and a jog control for skipping tracks. The USB-C port doubles as a charging bank, so the speaker can top up a phone when you are away from power.
The more meaningful change is structural. The battery, both grilles, the silicone sleeve and the strap are all removable and replaceable, so a frayed strap or a tired battery does not send the whole speaker to landfill. Marshall says the Stockwell III contains 27 percent recycled material by weight, excluding accessories and packaging. Marshall Group product manager Simona Berbec described the longer battery life, better acoustic performance and improved dust and water resistance as only part of the upgrade, pointing to the reworked controls and the modular construction as the rest of it.
