redBus, one of the region's largest online bus ticketing platforms, has gone live inside the Grab app in Malaysia as part of Grab's Partner App Program. Grab users can now browse, compare and book intercity bus and ferry journeys directly within the app, without downloading a separate application or creating a new account.

The Partner App Program lets third-party services run natively inside Grab, so users complete transactions without leaving the app. For redBus, that means its bus and ferry booking service now sits alongside the everyday services Malaysians already reach for in Grab.

The integration covers both intercity buses and regional ferries in a single flow. Commuters can plan a trip from search to payment in one interface, pay through GrabPay, and earn GrabCoins on eligible bookings.

Key features of the redBus and Grab partnership include:

  • Search, compare and book intercity buses and regional ferries inside the Grab app, with access to more than 200 operators across Malaysia and Singapore.
  • No additional app downloads or separate logins.
  • Secure payment through GrabPay, with GrabCoins earned on eligible bookings.
  • Coverage for domestic routes, Malaysia to Singapore cross-border trips, and ferry services between Malaysia and Indonesia.
  • A launch offer of 50 percent off eligible redBus bookings made through the Grab Partner App Program during the promotional period.

The companies framed the tie-up as a response to growing demand across Southeast Asia for seamless in-app experiences, as mobility, payments and travel services increasingly converge inside a few trusted digital platforms.
