Smart home upgrades usually stop at the living room. Ariston wants to push app and voice control a little further, into the bathroom. Its new ANDRIS 3 electric storage water heater range swaps the usual bulky tank for a square, frameless shape and, on the top model, adds Wi-Fi connectivity, so a hot shower can be scheduled from your phone before you get home.

What Ariston is launching
The ANDRIS 3 is a range rather than a single unit. It comes in two capacities, 15L and 30L, to suit different household sizes, and in two versions that split along a familiar line: one connected, one kept deliberately simple. The Italian water heating brand says the frameless design, styled by designer Umberto Palermo, is meant to sit flush in a variety of bathroom layouts and take up less visual space than a conventional heater.
The connected model: ANDRIS 3 TOP WI-FI
The headline version is the ANDRIS 3 TOP WI-FI. Its Eco Evo function learns a household's daily hot water habits and adjusts heating to match, which Ariston says can cut energy use by up to 25%. It pairs with the Ariston NET app to turn the heater on or off remotely, set the water temperature, and send real time notifications, and it works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control.
The hardware side is covered too. The TOP WI-FI uses a patented titanium heating element backed by a lifetime warranty, and adds Auto Power Off, an Auto Safety Check, a touch display, precise temperature control, and AG+ technology that Ariston links to better hygiene.
The simpler model: ANDRIS 3 RS
For buyers who would rather not manage a heater from an app, the ANDRIS 3 RS keeps things mechanical. A temperature knob sets anything between 60°C and 80°C, and a hot water ready indicator light shows when it is up to temperature. It runs a copper heating element with TitanShield protection against corrosion and limescale, plus high density insulation to hold heat, and the same AG+ hygiene technology. It shares the frameless look of the connected model.
Why it matters
Connected water heaters are still a small slice of the market, and most of the appeal comes down to two things: shaving energy off an appliance that runs every day, and the convenience of not heating water you are not going to use. Ariston is leaning on both, and giving buyers a choice between paying for the smart features or skipping them. Whether the up to 25% saving holds in a real home will depend on usage patterns, but a heater that learns your routine is at least aimed at the right problem.
Availability and price
The ANDRIS 3 range was announced through Ariston's Singapore team, and pricing and Malaysian availability have not been confirmed. Malaysian shoppers interested in the range will want to check with local Ariston retailers before planning a bathroom upgrade.
For anyone weighing up a new water heater, the ANDRIS 3 is a reminder that even the least glamorous appliances are picking up smart features. The real question is whether you want to control your hot water from your phone, or would rather just turn a knob.
