If you run club nights, a gig series or a small festival, the company behind the Nothing Phone and Ear earbuds wants to help pay for it. Nothing has launched the Club Nothing Fund, a new initiative that will give four creatives around the world US$10,000 each to bring their own music events to life.

What the Club Nothing Fund offers

The fund is part of Club Nothing, a global series of dance-music events the London-based tech company is staging in unexpected locations. It kicks off in New York City on 9 July, timed with the launch of the Ear (3a) earbuds, then moves to Tokyo on 30 July. The four selected creatives share a US$40,000 pool and gain exposure through Nothing's wider community.

"Club Nothing is about creating spaces where people can come together around a shared love for music, while giving emerging creatives the platform and support they need," said Erica Travis, Senior Community Manager at Nothing.

How to apply from Malaysia

Applications are open now and close on 9 August 2026, with winners announced later that month. Malaysian applicants can enter through my.nothing.tech/club-nothing. Entries will be judged by a panel spanning music and nightlife, including DJ and producer Manuka Honey, Dazed music editor Solomon Pace-McCarrick, and Nothing's own Shavone Charles.

Why Nothing is doing this

The fund fits a clear shift at Nothing towards music and culture. The brand recently named pop star Charli xcx as its first Global Brand Ambassador, and she has joined as a shareholder alongside investors including The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia. Nothing has also hired senior people from fashion and social media, including a chief brand officer from Loewe and a global communications head who previously worked at TikTok and Instagram.

For a company still best known for its phones and earbuds, backing grassroots music events is a bid to build loyalty with younger, creative audiences. Applications for the Club Nothing Fund are open until 9 August at my.nothing.tech/club-nothing.
