Call of Duty's mid-year content drop has arrived. Season 04 is live now across Black Ops 7 and Warzone, and for Malaysian players it brings a fresh batch of maps and modes, plus an anti-cheat change that quietly raises the bar for what your PC needs to run the game.
The content side is the easy sell. The new season adds Operation Wall Breaker to the Endgame mode, five new and remastered Multiplayer maps, and the return of the fan-favourite Fortune's Keep in Warzone. Zombies players get a new mode called Rogue Run. It is the kind of seasonal refresh that keeps a live-service shooter busy through the school holidays.

What Season 04 changes for cheaters
The more consequential update sits under the hood, in the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system. Building on the Microsoft Azure Attestation technology introduced in Season 02, players whose systems fail an attestation check are now placed into a separate matchmaking pool with limited playlist access until their machine meets two requirements: TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. Those are the same security features Windows 11 already asks for, so most up-to-date PCs will pass, but players on older or custom setups may need to switch them on in BIOS to regain full access.
On the hardware side, RICOCHET continues to crack down on unauthorised scripted devices such as Cronus Zen and XIM Matrix, which let players automate aim and recoil control. Activision says the enforcement is sticking: nearly two-thirds of players temporarily banned for using these devices have not gone back to them after returning to Black Ops 7.
Why the TPM rule matters in Malaysia
For the local crowd, the attestation change is the part worth noting. Plenty of Malaysian players still run Windows on older laptops or self-built rigs where Secure Boot is switched off by default. Getting into Season 04's full playlists now depends on turning those settings on, a small hurdle for casual players but a clear signal that Call of Duty is tightening its grip on PC cheating. Console players are not affected by the TPM requirement.
Season 04 is available now in both Black Ops 7 and Warzone. The full content roadmap and the detailed RICOCHET Anti-Cheat notes are on the official Call of Duty Blog.
