Fresh Liquid Glass

Across apps, you can look forward to the gorgeous new software design that is Liquid Glass which brings a fresh look to watchOS 26. This is a 3D dynamic design that offers extended customisability in tints and clarity.
Features like Smart Stack widgets, Smart Stack hints, notifications, Control Center, and in-app controls and navigation will adopt this new design.
Apple Intelligence Comes to Fitness with Workout Buddy

The new Workout Buddy will offer a first-of-its-kind fitness experience. Utilising Apple Intelligence, it incorporates your workout data and fitness history so you'd get personalised, motivational insights during your session, based on your vitals data.

There are four new buttons in the corners of the Workout app to make it it easier for you to access your favourite features to customise workouts, like Workout Views, Custom Workout, Pacer, Race Route, and more.
A More Seamless Smart Stack

In watchOS 26, the Smart Stack has enhanced prediction of algorithms by incorporating your data routine to provide Smart Stack hints, a proactive prompt for immediate useful suggestions. Also available in Liquid Glass design, Smart Stack hints will appear on the display as a gentle visual prompt.
Live Translation Will Be On Apple Watch!
Apple Watch now supports Live Translation in Messages. You'll be able to check incoming texts with automatic translations to your preferred language, right on your wrist.
Translation will be available on Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10, and Apple Watch Ultra 2, with an Apple Intelligence-supported iPhone.
Quicker Management of Notifications
There's a new wrist flick gesture to dismiss notifications now. All you have to do is quickly turn your wrist over and back to dismiss the notification. This is handy for one-hand operation situations.
More watchOS updates:
- Apple Watch can also now automatically adjust the speaker volume based on the ambient noise
- Notes app is also now on watchOS. Use it to complete checklist items, and create new notes with Siri, dictation, and the keyboard.
- Hold Assist and Call Screening will be available within Phone app on watchOS, when your iPhone is nearby.
- Live Listen will be on Apple Watch with a new set of features, including real-time Live Captions of what the iPhone.
- Photos face will now shuffle images based on Featured content from Photos.
- Enjoy more watch faces at the gallery on Apple Watch and in the Watch app on iPhone, with faces grouped into collections.
