We've gotten our hands on the latest "mystical" and "cool" accessory from Samsung that just landed in Malaysia—the Samsung Galaxy Ring!
The Samsung Galaxy Ring marks Samsung's inaugural venture into the "smart ring" market; an accessory that offers a discreet yet comprehensive health and fitness tracking solution. Their Galaxy Ring is aimed at users who prefer minimalistic wearables without compromising on functionality.

And of course, the Galaxy Ring integrates seamlessly with the Samsung ecosystem; tracking and all are done via the Samsung health app where you can view insights into your body vitals.
Its battery is rated to net you about 7 days of use, by which its charging method is via its charging case—a see through "Nothing Phone" aesthetic case that utilises USB-C power input.

The Galaxy Ring comes in multiple sizes, to which you have to go to official Samsung stores for a true fit to record your vitals as accurately as possible.

Price reveal? Samsung Galaxy Ring in Malaysia is RM2,099, which is quite a price to pay for something that doesn't offer full-fledge tracking like the Samsung Galaxy Watch series.
Our unboxing video above!
According to various websites, these are the rumoured specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Ring in Malaysia (Approximately):
- Dimensions: About 7.0 mm width with 2.6 mm thickness
- Weight: 2.3 to 3.0 grams, depending on size (will need to head to the Samsung store to get your sizing done)
- Sensors: Accelerometer, optical heart rate sensor, skin temperature sensor
- Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.4
- Water Resistance: IP68 and 10ATM ratings, suitable for swimming and water-related activities
- Compatibility: Android 11 or higher; all features available with Samsung Galaxy devices

We imagine that the biggest reason to get the Samsung Galaxy Ring, at the moment, is for its simplicity and understated aesthetic piece of technology that's tied to the Samsung ecosystem. Yet, RM2,099 is a price most would not want to stomach for something that offers less tracking insights compared to the Samsung Galaxy Watch series.
HOWEVER, if the Galaxy Ring happens to be a piece of technology that lasts 7 years or more, it might be worth the investment.
