Powered by NVIDIA Blackwell, the GeForce RTX™ 50 Series Laptop GPUs bring game-changing capabilities to gamers and creators. Equipped with a massive level of AI horsepower, the RTX 50 Series enables new experiences and next-level graphics fidelity.
Utilising the power of the said GPU series are the new 2025 generations to the Strix SCAR 16, Strix SCAR 18, Strix G16, and Strix G18.
The new laptops are enabled with multiplied performance with NVIDIA DLSS 4, generate images at unprecedented speed, and unleash creativity with NVIDIA Studio. Plus, they have access to NVIDIA NIM microservices—state-of-the-art AI models that let enthusiasts and developers build AI assistant, agents, and workflows with peak performance on NIM-ready systems.
The 2025 Strix family also boasts the latest processors from Intel. Next-gen Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 processor 275HX is available on both the top-end Strix SCAR machines as well as the Strix G16 and G18.
ROG 2025 Strix: Hardware Updates
ASUS's 2025 ROG Strix lineup features bold new chassis designs for the new Intel-based Strix SCAR 16, Strix SCAR 18, Strix G16, and Strix G18, including full-surround RGB lighting and the first tool-less bottom panel available in a gaming laptop.
With a single button press, users can easily open their machine to clean fans or upgrade RAM and storage, no ribbon cables or screws required. All 2025 Strix machines also feature a dual-layer ACR film on the display, which reduces reflections by 55% and boosts contrast by 4.5X, giving gamers more vivid colors and making it easier to see enemies than ever before.
A world-class gaming performance and multi-tasking potential await. Supported by up to 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 4TB of PCIe® Gen 4 storage on the Strix SCAR 16 and 18, and 32GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage on the Strix G16 and G18, these machines are the perfect match for gamers and content creators who demand a next-level experience.
This year, ROG also attached a new sandwiched heatsink design on its Intel-based Strix machines, which puts heatsink fins on the top and bottom of the new end-to-end vapor chamber.
The new design saves space and increases cooling efficiency, especially when combined with a full-length rear exhaust vent, liquid metal on the CPU and GPU, and plenty of intake space on the side, bottom, and keyboard. All in together, the thermal system allows these laptops to push up to 240W of power, with less noise than the previous generation. Not only that, but the integrated dust filters keep debris out of the system for extra longevity.
