Samsung is always big on photography and videography. Across all of their mobile products, it's the one feature that is usually high-performing and well loved by all users.

For the Galaxy Unpacked that recently happened in January 2025, Samsung let it known that Galaxy AI plays a big part in how visuals will churn out in their latest Galaxy S25 series (Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra).

First, we have to understand that the Galaxy S25 series is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is oriented towards multitasking, thermal efficiency and AI. Also fitted with with 12GB of RAM and starting 128GB of storage, even the base model can handle extensive multitasking, gaming, and productivity tasks with ease in its class.

Keeping in mind that, again, the Snapdragon chipset plays a part in AI, it also affects Galaxy AI exclusive camera and video features.

10-bit HDR

First, there's now 10-bit HDR recording applied by default across the series, offering four times richer colour expression compared to 8-bit. This allows the Galaxy S25 series to capture details in any lighting conditions.

Noise-Cancellation by AI

Based on powerful processor, the Galaxy S25 series can analyse movement and time to reduce noise more effectively. This integration allows detecting both moving and static objects with greater precision, ensuring sharper, cleaner footage in any scenario.

How it works is that it isolates categories of sounds – including voices, music, wind, nature, crowd and noise. This lets you control what to tone down or eliminate entirely.

Enhanced Realistic Visuals

For a DSLR-like experience on mobile, Galaxy S25 introduces depth-of-field control with Virtual Aperture, integrated into the popular Expert RAW. Always liked the blur bokeh backgrounds achieved on low f-stop counts? You can do that with this feature. And based on our quick tests, the results look great, which were enhanced post-production by the integrated Galaxy AI.

Additionally, the existing Portrait Studio have also been enhanced. Users can now generate personalised avatars with more true-to-life facial expressions. Alongside these highlights, new filters are introduced to new analog-style filters, delivering film-like aesthetic for their photos and videos.

More Control Over Videos with Galaxy Log

The other game-change for videography is that the series has Galaxy Log, designed to enhance video production by offering advanced options for video during post editing. Mostly, it allows you to colour-grade, which means adjust the colour of your videos to give them a more cinematic and professional feel.

That's all the top features for photography and videography. Will you be purchasing the Galaxy S25 series? Make sure to enjoy their pre-order promos until 13 February 2025.
