Philips is excited to unveil its revolutionary Easykey Palm Recognition Smart Lock Series, featuring the 9000, 8000, 7000, 6000 and 3000 Series.

This cutting-edge security solution utilises advanced palm vein recognition technology to offer one of the most sophisticated smart locks of 2024. Designed to integrate seamlessly with a wide range of smart home systems, this series promises unmatched levels of security and convenience.

The palm vein recognition technology employed in these smart locks represents a major leap forward in biometric identification. By capturing and analysing the unique vein patterns within an individual’s palm, it provides an exceptionally secure method of authentication.

This advanced technology, already in use across diverse fields such as contactless payments, enterprise access control, patient record management, and financial verification, ensures both high accuracy and robust security. The smart lock series operates by scanning the intricate vein patterns through near-infrared light, creating a distinctive biometric template that enhances both security and user ease.

3 Main Reasons To Use Palm Vein Recognition:

Superior Security

  • Palm vein patterns offer a high level of security due to their unique nature; each individual's vein pattern is distinct, making replication or forgery extremely difficult.
  • This effectively mitigates the risks associated with identity theft and fraud.

Privacy Assurance

  • Aside from convenience, palm vein recognition technology is a privacy conscious biometric method, as vein patterns are not visible to the naked eye.
  • This feature ensures that biometric data remains discreet and addresses common privacy concerns associated with biometric identification systems.

Contactless Operation

  • The contactless recognition feature enhances hygiene and safety by allowing users to place their hand over the scanner without making direct contact.
  • This reduces the potential for spreading bacteria and viruses, contributing to a healthier and safer environment.

In addition to the 9000, 8000, 7000 and 3000 Series Palm Vein Recognition Smart Locks, Philips is pleased to introduce the new 6000 Series Smart Lock.

This latest addition offers users a variety of unlocking options, including fingerprint recognition, PIN code, key tag, or mechanical key, ensuring a seamless and stress-free return home. 6000 Series is also equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling remote access and unlocking capabilities. It also features a safe handle function for enhanced security and convenience.

The Palm Vein Recognition Series will be available for purchase in Q4 2024. Pricing information will be announced closer to the launch date on December 8, 2024.
