Design & Display — Classic Clamshell With #inch Screen
Similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip6 sports a 3.4" Super AMOLED 60Hz display cover screen. It will fold down to a compact ", so it's still suitable to carry in most pocket sizes. The foldable screen design doesn't show any obvious crease or discernible gap when folded.
A small upgraded detail is its camera ring is now the same colour as the phone's body. In fact, the yellow one rather reminds me of minion eyes!
Performance & Battery
This year, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 has really gotten a big improvement, starting with its 12GB RAM and 4,000mAh battery compared to the 8GB RAM and 3,700mAh battery in the Z Flip5. The decision to improve the Z Flip6's memory and battery might have to do with the myriad of AI features which extend to the cover screen that can now support such as suggesting text replies.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 is also p powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is the same processor that powers Samsung's newest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Not only that; the Galaxy Z Flip6 will not heat up as fast or as easily, since Samsung shared that it now has a 150% larger vapour chamber than its predecessor!
The highlight of this year's launch, just like with the Galaxy S24 series' launch in January, is Galaxy AI—which of course the Galaxy Z Flip6 has! In fact, Galaxy AI has been tailored for the Galaxy Z Flip6 here, allowing us to customize the cover screen with real-time updated widgets, edit photos with AI, and more. We can't wait to try all of these features out!
Camera
Another exciting upgrade this time would be the Z Flip6's new 50MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide lens. The camera also has features like Camcorder mode and improved night videography.
