Apple's Vision Pro Coming To Asia Starting June 28th — But Not Malaysia

Pre-orders for China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore will start on June 14th.

At WWDC 2024, Apple stated that its Vision Pro Augmented Reality (AR) headset is moving to the Asian market on June 28th, with China, Japan, and Singapore being the first Asian countries to receive the Vision Pro. Hence, our neighbouring country to the south will have the first dibs on it before us.

For these countries (and a number of other countries), customers can preorder the headsets starting June 28th; then from July 12th, the consumers who have purchased these headsets will receive them.

Apple’s Vision Pro boasts an ultra-high-resolution display system utilising micro-OLED technology that delivers more pixels than those found in a 4K TV to each of your eyes. Their advanced spatial audio system gives users a sense of sound emanating from surrounding areas. They are powered by Apple’s silicon chips that make use of two processing units, namely M2 and R1; this setup has been very instrumental since there is no delay in presenting information as it happens.

More than 2,000 applications have been specially designed for Apple Vision Pro in the App Store, as well as in excess of one and a half million compatible iOS and iPadOS applications. Box, Craft, Slack, or Webex—such known products as Box, Craft, or Slack are used in business every day—while Apple Vision Pro can boast compatibility with a number of the most popular TV streaming sites, such as Disney +, Apple TV+, or Amazon Prime Video. Next, it’s also gaming supported on Apple Vision Pro due to thousands of entertaining games as well as PlayStation DualSense and Xbox Wireless Controller compatibility features.

In any case, Apple will be opening Malaysia's first official Apple Store at TRX on June 22nd. There's still no confirmation as to what the Apple Store TRX will look like, so maybe, just maybe, we might get a Vision Pro showcase there!
