Teclast Malaysia: Brand Review & Promo Deals

Technology made affordable for everyone!

As our daily tasks get more complicated with each passing day, there’s an emergence of new technology devices daily from a plethora of brands. This makes it hard to actually choose the devices we really need. And when looking for devices like tablets and computers, we are so used to hearing the usual: Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi and so forth.

Because these brands have caused disruption and positioned themselves in the minds of daily consumers for a really long time now, part of the money you pay for is branding. Well, there are actually brands that can compete and even outperform some of the aforementioned brands for a better price.

One such tech brand, known as Teclast, is taking over with their budget, entry-level tablet and laptop rankings, leaving many users surprised and satisfied. With the low price, are Teclast’s products really worth it? We are here to present to you our findings and reviews!

Today, we review and recommend some of Teclast’s most coveted products in the market right now.

The first of the lot is the Teclast P20HD Tablet Review. For the price point of this tablet, everything that you’re getting with it is a steal!

Firstly, this Android Tablet supports the brand-new Android 10 Operating System, which is the smoothest operating system to date on all Android capable devices. Also, worth mentioning is the device’s ability to function as a phone too with its 4G LTE network support.

It’s nice to see Teclast fit a 1920 x 1200p full HD display resolution on this 10.1-inch tablet. That means you’re getting stunning, improved image quality and colour accuracy. The tablet also holds an amazing 7-hour online video playback with its 6,000mAh battery. Utilising a USB-C input for charging and transfer, you can charge this tablet and transfer data with ease.

The tablet is not recommended for handling heavier workloads like editing videos due to its 4GB RAM. Thus, it’s perfect for the little ones or even yourself to do some web surfing and watch videos before bedtime. Aside from the 64GB internal storage, you can expand storage space with a MicroSD card.

In general, reviewers are delighted with their purchases. But there are still some drawbacks, specifically on the 5 MP rear camera and 2 MP Front Facing Camera. While cameras aren’t usually the focus of a tablet, this is worth pondering about as other competitors are releasing similar performing tablets with better camera specs.

For the price point though, this tablet is still highly-recommended for casual use. So, if you’re looking to spend on a tablet that isn’t too pricey but with sufficiently good features, this is a great pick.

add_circle Good battery life
add_circle Supports a docking keyboard (sold separately)
add_circle Cheap
remove_circle Fast charge is not that fast
remove_circle Brightness is on the dimmer side

Here’s another tablet - the Teclast T30. A faster and sturdier version of its sister tablet (the P20HD), T30 boasts a 50% higher performance rate. That’s all thanks to its P70 Octa Core chip which provides 2.1GHz of speeds while using 60% lesser power than on the regular.

Together with its ARM Mali G72 graphics chip, this device gives 40% more improvement in performance and is capable of streaming videos and movies. Yes, you can also play games, listen to music and complete your day-to-day online tasks without much lag.

P30’s 10.1-inch HD screen gives vivid, bright images to everything you view, though its a tad sad that the brightness level only goes up to 370 nits, compared to its competitors with above 400 nits. Due to its large size, Teclast has managed to fit in a larger lithium-ion battery with up to an impressive 8,000mAh which is roughly about 11 hours of video playback.

The storage on this tablet is only 64GB but it’s expandable with a MicroSD Card. For quite a budget-friendly device, we’re slightly surprised that the T30 supports a docking keyboard. Unfortunately, the keyboard is sold separately but it’s a good addition if you’re looking for a work tablet that is affordable.

As great as this tablet is, it does come with some cons, such as a mediocre 8MP back camera and the 5MP front-facing camera. Its fast charge is also not the fastest.

Putting the drawbacks aside, this is a really sturdy performing tablet! So, if you’re looking for a good and cost-efficient work tablet, pick the T30.

Teclast P80X Tablet

add_circle Very, very cheap
add_circle Casual games are possible
add_circle Ships with Android 9.0
add_circle Lightweight
remove_circle Very poor camera setup
remove_circle Uses micro USB

Another fine Teclast tablet is the P80X, and it’s the most affordable one from the bunch. For its great value for money, the tablet has phone capabilities as well, making it a good choice to carry around easily for when you want a bigger screen.

The P80X ships with Android 9.0, which is acceptable for achieving smooth performance. While the GPU on this tablet is a PowerVR Rouge GE8322 which can achieve optimized colour effects, on casual games are best recommended to run on this device.

One factor that sets this tablet apart from many others is the 8’ display that gives colourful and vivid imagery for its users. Another feature we can applaud Teclast for is its 10-hour video run time to use for longer periods.

The tablet comes with 32GB and 2GB of RAM, with the option to add on up to 128GB of storage via MicroSD; a nice option for a budget device.

Not surprisingly, a drawback to the P80X is the poor camera quality, with a 0.3MP front-facing camera and a 2MP rear camera. There’s also the Micro USB Port being used to charge/transfer data on this tablet instead of a USB-C port.

Due to the size and its low-grade specs on this device, we would recommend you purchasing this for your little ones to keep them occupied or for their day-to-day use, be it for learning, watching cartoons and movies or YouTube videos. That way you can save a few extra Ringgit and maybe even save your other devices from getting damaged.

Teclast F7S Laptop

add_circle Expandable internal SSD storage

add_circle Good set of ports
add_circle Lightweight
add_circle Acceptable performing speed
add_circle Good looking
add_circle So cheap
remove_circle Small battery life
remove_circle Not recommended to try gaming with

Available in space grey, this Teclast F7S is a laptop with reminiscences to the MacBook line ups.  To live up its “business laptop” title, the F7S is designed as both lightweight and slim, only weighing 1.5 kilograms and with a thickness of 7mm. It also sports 8mm bezels on its large 14.1” display which presents a 1920 x 1080p (HD) display that’s vivid for your day-to-day usage.

With an entry-level Intel Apollo Lake processor, this device has satisfactory power performance with up to 2.4GHz boost speeds. Together with the said processor, the F7S cuts down on power consumption while maintaining optimum performance.

The F7S comes standard with an internal SSD storage of 128GB and 8GB of RAM. While the latter is sufficient in transfer speeds but you’ll likely need to have an external hard drive for heavier workloads. Otherwise, you can still expand your internal storage via the drive expansion accessible from the rear.

We do applaud that there’s a good selection of connectivities, such as the USB 3.0 ports for data transfer, a MicroSD slot, a headphone jack and a charging port.

The trackpad and keyboard on this device are large and comfortable enough for long typing and scrolling sessions. One downside to the trackpad, however, is that it does not have great palm rejection, so do be weary on that.

With a 38000mWh lithium polymer battery, you can expect about 7-hours of usage overall, which is on the lower end for a business laptop but still sufficient given its price. Do take note that for those who are looking to make regular calls, this device only comes with a 2MP camera, which isn’t the clearest, but can still perform in regular light settings.

If you’re looking to purchase an affordable computer that’s lightweight and has great speeds, this is quite a decent option for regular day to day use. We would like to highlight that this is not a performance laptop, but rather a regular productivity laptop.

Teclast F15 Laptop

add_circle Lightweight

add_circle Nice inclusion of 2.4GHz clock speed
add_circle Backlit keyboard with big trackpad

remove_circle Comes with an 8th generation Intel processor

If you’re looking for a laptop that’s equally thin yet sizeable, opt for the Teclast F15. With its 15.6” inch 1920 x 1080 HD display as well as thin, it’s perfect for video and entertainment purposes. Given its size, the F15 only weighs 1.8KG and is 15mm thick, which is good to travel around with.

This laptop ships with an 8th generation Intel processor. Yes, that is not new hardware but, Teclast has equipped the laptop with clocking speeds of up to 2.4GHz, so you’re guaranteed a stable and smooth performance when things get heavy.

For a laptop at such a price, it’s a bonus to get a backlit keyboard with decent typing experience. A bonus feature is also the number keypad on the right side which is perfect for coding with ease. Additionally, the trackpad on this laptop is larger by 47% more compared to other 14” laptops in the market.

Not forgetting the laptop comes with a built-in internal SSD storage of 256GB and 8GB RAM. Speaking of which, the internal SSD is expandable if 256GB is not enough. Alas, one of the biggest flaws to this laptop is the 41800mWh lithium polymer battery that only holds up to 7 hours of battery life. You’ll definitely need to pack your battery with you for a whole day out.

Still, with its great display and capability to handle a heavier workflow, the F15 is suitable for productivity. Especially for its price, this is a great laptop to have for most types of users.

Teclast F6 Plus Laptop

remove_circle Stylus sold separately

remove_circle Ships with an 8th gen. Intel processor

For those who need a computer on the go, do know that there’s this 2-in-1 Teclast F6 Plus Laptop, which stands out from the rest for its good price together with satisfactory size and performance factors.

Even if it uses an older 8th Generation Intel processor, the laptop boasts up to 2.4GHz of clock speeds to maintain optimum performance. Where the F6 Plus really treats its users is its 9th generation Intel UHD Graphics 600 for all-round media productivity and consumption whether it’s casual games or work.

Within its 13.3-inch screen, the F6 Plus has the combination of a 1080p HD resolution, wide visual angle display and slim bezels. Portability is not an issue too as the F6 Plus weighs only 1.6kg with a thickness of 8mm thick, which gives a pleasant aesthetic look for users to admire.

A funny thing to this laptop is that the F6 Plus’ screen isn’t finger-capacitive despite being compatible with a pressure sensor stylus [sold separately] for precision. With the stylus, you can easily take notes, draw sketches and edit your presentations on the fly.

To quickly note, the laptop has a USB 3.0 Type-C ports for charging the computer and transferring documents speedily. The device also comes with 8GB of ram and 256GB of internal storage which can be replaced with an external SSD!

With all that’s said, the F6 Plus has another shortcoming and that is its small 38,000mWh battery. If you don’t mind carrying a charger with you, then this is quite a good buy. Aside from the need to buy a separate stylus for the non-touchscreen and small battery pack, this sturdy device is not only worth your buck but also makes a great day-to-day productivity-based device.
