TnG eWallet Visa Card Is Available Now — But You Cannot Pay Tolls With It

You can't get rid of your Touch n' Go card yet, unfortunately.

Applications for the Touch n’ Go Visa Prepaid Card are available now, starting 18 January 2023. Users will be able to make card payments with the numberless card, including Paywave transactions, and the amount will be deducted from the user’s TnG eWallet.

Unfortunately, TnG was unable to integrate Touch n’ Go features into the Visa card, so you will not be able to perform toll transactions using the Visa card. As of now, it will only function as a regular Visa card tied to the TnG eWallet.

As Malaysia’s first numberless card, the TnG Visa card is designed for privacy and fraud prevention. Upon approval, users will be able to get a virtual card instantly, and details of the card’s security and payment setting through the eWallet app.

The card is accepted at all Visa merchants worldwide. You can also withdraw your eWallet balance through the card at Visa-enabled ATMs and touchpoints, with a fee of RM1.40 for local ATMs and RM15 for overseas ATM withdrawals.

Applications for the TnG Visa Card can be done through the eWallet app at a one-time fee of RM5. RM2 from every application will be donated to United Voices, a non-governmental organization for people with learning disabilities. According to the information obtained from the app, the card’s annual fee is RM8.
