The Samsung Unpacked 2023 will be held on 2 February 2023 at 2 am Malaysian time, but that hasn’t stopped the industry from churning out rumours and speculations about the highly-anticipated Galaxy S23 Series.
And now, we have leaked images of the phones themselves, mainly of the Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy S23+. And unlike the render images we talked about last month, these pictures show us what colours the phones will come in.
According to Dutch website Nieuwe Mobiel, these are press images of the Galaxy S23 Series. From the images, it appears that both models will come in four colours: Phantom Black, Cotton Flower, Botanic Green, and Misty Lilac. The first three are standard colours that can be seen on the Galaxy S22 Series, while Misty Lilac looks like a lighter version of the Bora Purple. Rumours have it that the Ultra model’s cameras will come with a bigger sensor and up to 200MP, but we can’t really tell just from these pictures alone.

Should this be true, then there will be significantly fewer colour options to choose from this year. Then again, Samsung might release more colours in the future, just like they did for the S22, which was released in the iconic Bora Purple in August 2022, more than half a year after its original release.
Apart from the Ultra model, the Dutch website had also leaked images of the Galaxy S23+ in the same set of colours.
Just like we guessed from the first render pictures, it looks like the Galaxy S23 Ultra will look identical to the Galaxy S22, complete with the in-built S Pen. The Galaxy S23+, on the other hand, seems to have had its camera module removed and replaced with protruding lens like the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The lack of the base Galaxy S23 model in this leak has seemed to feed into rumours that Samsung will only be releasing two Galaxy S23 models this year. With all the ongoing rumours and speculations we’ve seen online, however, this seems unlikely, at least for this generation.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is scheduled to release on 2 February 2023, 2 am Malaysian time at Samsung’s flagship launch event, Galaxy Unpacked 2023. We’ll have more information on hand about the devices by then, so do stay tuned on our website!
