Chloé introduces two new joiners to the Atelier des Fleurs family - Violette and Santalum. The memory-inducing scents were created by perfumers Fanny Bal and Marypierre Julien, inspired by precious memories of their loved ones.
Staying true to the art of scent mixing, the two new scents can be effortlessly and creatively layered with the rest of the collection, which is already composed of fifteen fragrances.
One Flower, One Name, One Natural Extract
Designer Gaby Aghion established Chloé in 1952 and was one of the first designers to present high-end prêt-à-porter collections, developing a classy yet casual silhouette, now synonymous with Parisian elegance. The Atelier des Fleurs collection reflects this creative freedom that breaks free from the conventional codes of perfumery.
Each scent in the collection is a pure and simple pared-down expression of one flower. The collection’s 17 eponymous fragrances – from Cedrus to Violette – capture the essence of their respective flower. Each one reveals itself fully, opening through the top notes, blossoming at the heart, taking root at the base and leaving a unique trail in its wake.
Truly Personal Compositions
Atelier des Fleurs offers us the ability to create our own unique perfume by combining multiple scents, just like composing a bouquet at a Parisian flower stall. The pure nature of single scents allows for endless combinations.
With Atelier des Fleurs, we can craft a signature scent or custom-build a composition for a loved one. The practice of giving bouquets has always been part of the French art de Vivre so what better way to honour this tradition than by offering a beautiful bouquet of fragrances?
Total Transparency
The two new scents, Violette and Santalum, are formulated with 100% natural origin raw materials, natural alcohol, and water – all high-quality materials selected with care. Each scent is vegan and free of artificial colourings and filters, perfectly aligned with Chloé’s determination to reduce its environmental impact.
Violette by Fanny Bal
Captivated by the violets in her family’s garden, Fanny Bal remembers the scent of the fresh blossoming flowers and was drawn upon this strong memory to create a fragrance with powdery notes of violet and a hint of freshness.
With violets harvested in Egypt, Violette is the epitome of modesty, evoking the scent of recently blossomed petals.
Santalum by Marypierre Julien
To compose her velvety, rich scent, Marypierre Julien was inspired by a sandalwood fan her grandmother brought back from a trip to Australia. Recalling how the fan would perfume a room with each wave, Julien captured the precious memory and introduced Santalum.
With sandalwood harvested in Australia, Santalum is full of woody notes and milky accents. This original fragrance has turned sandalwood into an emblem of sensuality, capturing its sweetness, smoothness and timeless elegance.
