Logitech G Pro X Review Malaysia

Reviewing the Logitech G Pro Series—Great Headset, Lightweight Mouse, and Cool Keyboard!

The perfect peripherals to complement your gaming rig!

Previously, we unboxed and voiced our first impressions on the Logitech G Pro X Series, which included the X 2 Lightspeed Headset, the Superlight Mouse, and the TKL Keyboard; all of which we had pretty good impressions on. Now, after spending more time with the Logitech Pro Series, we’re ready to deliver our verdict!

ICYMI, Logitech recently launched their new professional gaming peripherals, and we were amazed by the quality and performance across the board. Of course, that was just the first week: read on to find out if our perceptions have changed!

Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed Headset

As we’ve noticed during our unboxing and first review, the Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed was pretty well-built and sturdy—so sturdy, in fact, that it’s bulky and not exactly best for travelling and commuting. That’s remained true so far—even shaking my head a little too hard while sitting at my table is enough for it to slip off my head.

That’s not to say that the headphones are loose-fitting; they’re pretty comfortable, as the earcups are large enough to go over the ears instead of pressing on them. That’s why, even though it can weigh a little on your head after extra-long sessions (~6 hours), I’d still say the headset is pretty comfortable to wear.

More on the comfort: the Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed Headset comes with a pair of cloth earcups in the box, which you can swap out from the default faux leather ones. The cloth earcups are grey, which kind of disrupts the white aesthetics the Pro X Series has going on, but the cloth earcups are a little softer and more breathable than the leather ones.

Most of the controls you need are on the body of the headphones themselves, which are easy to access, if not a little too easy—I kept accidentally moving the volume scroller when trying to readjust the headphones, for example, but after some time, I got used to where all the controls are and there are less mistouches.

The sound quality is as good as ever, though I do lament the fact that this doesn’t come with Active Noise Cancellation. For what it costs, I’d have expected ANC to some degree. As it were, the large over-ear earcups provide a decent amount of noise isolation, which is quite enough for gaming.

Logitech G Pro X Superlight Mouse

Lightweight and an absolute delight, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Mouse is perhaps my favourite out of the three. Now, I mentioned in the first article that it feels like nothing—it still does, even after a whole day of working and then some. There’s significantly less strain on my wrists.

I loved the minimalistic all-white design as well, but I made the mistake of putting on the black grip tape included in the box. I wish I hadn’t, because I’m not a fan of the bandit racoon look, though some of our team has pointed out that it adds a little character to the mouse. Then again, aesthetics is objective; but I do wish that Logitech matched the colour of the grip tapes to the body of the mouse.

All the buttons are satisfyingly clicky and very responsive. There is no noticeable latency in clicks. While there is no physical DPI button, you can still set it via the Logitech G Hub. Previously, I’d lamented that the mouse would reset to its default DPI whenever I rebooted my laptop: thankfully, that’s all well and settled now as the mouse actually has hardware memory, so just turning that on would ensure that your DPI settings stays where it is.

And that’s not all; you can also set up multiple profiles via the G Hub as well and change them up according to the situation.

Logitech G Pro X TKL Keyboard

The Logitech G Pro X TKL, a hot-swappable mechanical keyboard that really impressed us during our unboxing, still holds up to our expectations. Fitted with Logitech GX Brown switches which offer a tactile yet silent experience and complemented by the premium white PBT keycaps, it’s perfect for gaming AND typing alike.

Now, it is very heavy, despite what the carrying case might suggest, so you don’t want to be lugging it around. But as a stationary keyboard for gaming or work, it is truly perfect—I loved the tactile switches that has little to no ping, and with the help of wrist pads, the Logitech G Pro X TKL really offers a superior typing experience.

There are a bunch of settings that you can program through the Logitech G Hub. Our favourite is by far the lighting: the Logitech G Pro X TKL boasts brilliant RGB lights, and you have the freedom to choose your desired colours, adjust the lighting pattern, and set the pace, or simply opt for a pre-existing setting.

I mentioned previously that we were going to try out the audio-sync function—we did, and it was the coolest thing ever! It’s like having your own mini personal light show whenever you want—check out our video here!
