This is bad as having our screens too close to the face could lead to eye strain. T
To this extant, Apple has added a new feature in their latest iOS 17 update: Screen Distance.
With the new update, you will get a notification when the phone detects your face to be too close to the screen and will remind you to hold your phone at an arm’s length from your face How it works, is users will be alerted if they hold an iPhone or iPad with Face ID too close for a long time. This means the new Screen Distance feature can assist in reducing eye strain and reducing the risk of myopia in children.
While this feature sounds interesting, we aren’t sure how useful it will be, considering the iOS 17 update will release publicly in July. So until then, we will have to wait for more information about the Screen Distance update. But, if you already have the beta version of iOS 17, you’ll be able to try out this feature.
