WhatsApp has announced its brand new app that will load faster and has an interface that should be familiar to current Whatsapp and Windows users.
Mark Zuckerberg took to his Facebook account to post the announcement, “Launching a new WhatsApp desktop app for Windows. Now you can make E2E encrypted video calls with up to 8 people and audio calls with up to 32 people.” as shown below.
While it currently only allows 8 people for video calls and 32 people for audio calls, WhatsApp stated that the limit of how many people can enter will increase in the future. This means we can keep in touch with more of our family and friends over time.
The updated app will also have improvements like faster device linking, better syncing and other features like link preview and stickers. Also, there will be a Whatsapp beta experience for Android tablet users.
Apple users needn't worry about being left out as WhatsApp is also launching a faster app for Mac, which is in the early Beta stages.
The Whatsapp App For Windows is available to download now in the Microsoft Store. Additionally, a beta update of Whatsapp has also been released for Android tablets.
