Vivo has just unveiled its mobile imaging strategy that will bring major updates to their next-generation phones. The vivo Imaging Strategy Conference that was recently held in China showcased the brand's aim to improve mobile imaging capabilities through research and development as well as innovative partnership with renowned German lens company ZEISS.
What's new?
Vivo's latest projected technology might very well allow photos taken with a smartphone camera to come out as good as those taken with a professional DSLR. Three new parallels of the imaging technology matrix were announced during the conference. According to vivo, this matrix is equivalent to a whole professional production team, from pre- right up to post-production capabilities.
In terms of new features, a larger CMOS censor that has 77% better light sensitivity than vivo X80 Pro will be integrated in next-generation vivo products and along with ZEISS, they are developing a 50mm portrait lens that creates more natural-looking images with better Bokeh. Vivo also announced an updated imaging processor, which has a larger data bandwidth and reduces noise in low-light videos by 20%.
With the introduction of these new features, could this actually be a leak to vivo's new X90-series? Either way, it's always evident that the brand prioritizes imaging technology as the standard focus of their smartphones.
