Apple announced a whole barrage of new products in their fall iPhone event held on September 7, 1am MYT. Apart from the expected iPhone 14 series, Apple also introduced a new generation of AirPods, Apple Watches, and new updates for existing iOS devices.

iPhone 14 Lineup
The iPhone 14 lineup comprises two models: the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus, featuring two sizes, impressive camera upgrades, and groundbreaking new safety capabilities. Both models come with the A15 Bionic chip with a 5-core GPU, offering incredible performance and efficiency for demanding workloads.
Available in five stunning colours, the phones sport durable aero-space-grade aluminium designs, while keeping the popular 6.1” size in the iPhone 14 and a new 6.7” size on the iPhone 14 Plus. The Super Retina XDR displayed with OLED technology supports 1200 nits of peak HDR brightness and Dolby Vision.
Besides that, Apple introduced powerful camera upgrades to the iPhone 14 lineup as well, including a 12MP main camera with a larger sensor and larger pixels, a new front TrueDepth camera, the Ultra Wide camera, and a Photonic Engine to improve low-light photography.
On the software side, the iPhone 14 lineup comes equipped with iOS 16, and is available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities.
The iPhone 14 will be available in Malaysia beginning Friday, 23 September 2022, with a starting price of RM4199, while the iPhone 14 Plus will be available from 7 October 2022.

iPhone 14 Pro Lineup
The most advanced Pro lineup yet, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is powered by the fastest chip ever in a smartphone and features the Dynamic Island and an Always-On Display. It also introduces a new class of pro camera systems, with the first-ever 48MP Main Camera along with a quad-pixel sensor and the Photonic Engine.
The front TrueDepth camera has now been redesigned into the Dynamic Island, removing the front camera notch from the iPhone 14 Pro lineup and allowing users easier access to controls with a simple tap and hold.
On the software side, the A16 Bionic Chip in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is the foundation of all the upgrades in the lineup, powering all-day battery life and supporting impressive computational photograph capabilities. With two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores, Apple claims that the new 6-core CPU is 40% faster than the competition.
The iPhone Pro Lineup will be available in Malaysia beginning Friday, 23 September 2022, at a starting price of RM5,299.

Apple Watch Ultra, Series 8, and SE
With the 49mm titanium case and flat sapphire front crystal, the Apple Watch Ultra sports the biggest and brightest Apple Watch display yet, and has the best battery life of any Apple Watch, reaching up to 36 hours during normal use. A new low-power setting allows the battery to last multiple days, up to 60 hours.
On the other hand, the Apple Watch Series 8 delivers the best-in-class health features, including an innovative temperature sensor that enables advanced features for women’s health and Crash Detection for severe car crashes.
The new Apple Watch SE delivers the core Apple Watch experience at a more affordable price, with Activity tracking, high and low heart rate notifications, Emergency SOS, and the new Crash Detection feature, all wrapped up in a redesigned back case.
All the new smartwatches will come out of the box with the new watchOS 9.
The Apple Watch Ultra is priced at RM3,799, while the Apple Watch Series 8 and SE start at RM1,899 and RM1,199 respectively. There is no official availability date in Malaysia as of the time of writing.
The 2nd Generation AirPods Pro
During the event, Apple also announced the second generation of AirPods Pro, which are the most advanced AirPods ever. With the new H2 chip, the AirPods Pro features significant upgrades to Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode while also offering a unique way to experience Spatial Audio.
The lightweight and compact body of the new AirPods Pro offers richer bass and crystal-clear sound across a wider range of frequencies. Another good news: the Airpods come with new extra-small ear tips that give the smallest of ears the most comfortable fit.
The 2nd generation AirPods Pro is priced at RM1,099 in Malaysia, with no official availability date announced yet.
