If you’ve been out of the loop in the past few months, here’s what’s been going on with one of the biggest smartphone brands in the world: Samsung has just recently launched the newest generation of their Galaxy Z Series, the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4.
As one of the first smartphone manufacturers to reimagine the touchscreen smartphone with the Galaxy Fold in 2019, Samsung has continued to push the boundaries of smartphone versatility with its fourth-generation foldables.
The popularity of Samsung’s foldable phones really started with the Galaxy Z Flip3, which gained a cult following with its innovative form factor and unique features. Building on the success of their predecessors, the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4 have stirred up considerable excitement since their announcement at the August Galaxy Unpacked Event.
We got many responses when we asked Malaysians what they thought about the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4. Here are their honest opinions.
Colour
Of course the first opinion would be about colour: the Galaxy Z Flip4 comes in four colours and a Bespoke Edition that gives consumers another 75 colour combinations to choose from. The Fold4, on the other hand, is available in four colours, including an online exclusive Burgundy colour.
An overwhelming amount of Malaysians loved the Bora Purple for the Galaxy Z Flip4 – but can you blame them? Just look at how stunning this colour is!
Form Factor
The one thing that really stands out with the Galaxy Z series is the form factor; after all, in an era where smartphones all roughly look like the same black brick, a smartphone that can bend and fold into different sizes screams attention.
For the Galaxy Z Flip4, our followed loved its compactness and portability. On the other hand, it's the large screen that attracts users to the Galaxy Z Fold4.
FlexCam
There’s a lot more you can do with a phone that can stand on its own. The FlexCam feature allows you to capture photos and videos in so many more ways than a regular smartphone can, and our followers loved that!
Multitasking
“I can use this like a laptop” – with a large screen and powerful processors, you definitely can!
This is more for the Galaxy Z Fold4 rather than the Flip4, as the 7.2” main screen can open up to three windows at the same time, so you can watch videos, take notes, and check your email at the same time!
