ASUS ROG is stepping into new territory with the launch of two 32-inch glossy WOLED gaming monitors — the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG and XG32UCWG — both boasting 4K resolution and a premium display coating designed to deliver sharper visuals with deeper blacks.

A first in the market

First shown at Computex 2025, ASUS says these are the world’s first 4K glossy WOLED monitors, filling a niche between matte OLEDs and the newer QD-OLED options. Both models use ASUS’s exclusive TrueBlack Glossy film, designed to reduce ambient reflections by up to 38% compared to older glossy WOLED displays. The coating works in tandem with Clear Pixel Edge technology, which helps eliminate color fringing on text and fine details, a common annoyance with OLED panels.

Design and features

Both models share the same core specs, but differ in refresh rates:

  • XG32UCWMG – 240Hz native refresh rate (up to 480Hz in FHD Dual Mode)
  • XG32UCWG – 165Hz native refresh rate (up to 330Hz in FHD Dual Mode)

Each monitor offers a blistering 0.03ms GtG response time, a compact stand with a 45% smaller footprint than previous ROG OLED 32-inch models, and the striking RGB ROG logo on the rear.

The Neo Proximity Sensor makes an appearance too, dimming the display when you step away and waking it when you return — a clever touch that also helps combat OLED burn-in.

Connectivity and extras

The ROG Strix OLED models come with Auto KVM support, making it easy to switch between connected devices. Port selection includes two HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, USB-C (15W power delivery), and a headphone jack — though DisplayPort 2.1 is notably absent.

Price and availability in Singapore

The ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG will retail for S$1,549, while the XG32UCWG will go for S$1,349. Both are set to launch in mid-September 2025.

With ultra-fast refresh rates, sharper OLED visuals, and a glossy coating optimized for deep blacks, these new ROG Strix monitors are shaping up to be a tempting choice for gamers chasing both performance and style.
