Huawei is bringing another PaperMatte Display tablet to Singapore, and this time it’s aiming to deliver more “Pro” perks — without the premium price tag.
First announced globally in July alongside the Huawei Pura 80 series, the new Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) isn’t to be confused with the 2024 model released earlier in Kuala Lumpur. This refreshed version comes with a sharper display, improved brightness, and extra durability features, plus a few creative tools previously reserved for Huawei’s higher-end tablets.

Sharper, brighter, and built for creativity
The 2025 MatePad 11.5 gets an upgraded PaperMatte Display with additional anti-glare and anti-reflection coatings for a more comfortable viewing experience. It also offers higher peak brightness and a boosted pixel resolution for sharper visuals. Inside, Huawei has upgraded the battery, added faster charging, and improved thermal management with a 25% more efficient heat diffuser.
On the software side, Huawei Notes now includes AI Handwriting Enhancement and more artistic tools, while the brand-new GoPaint app — previously exclusive to “Pro” models — makes its debut on this tablet, opening up digital painting capabilities for more users.
No Google, but plenty of options
Running HarmonyOS 4.3, the MatePad 11.5 (2025) doesn’t support Google Mobile Services, but users can still sideload compatible Android apps or access Huawei’s own HMS ecosystem and AppGallery.
Price and availability in Singapore
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) is priced at S$498 and comes in Violet and Space Gray. Pre-orders start on 19 August 2025, with buyers receiving a free Huawei Smart Keyboard and M-Pencil (3rd Gen) — a bundle worth S$296.
Pre-orders are available at Huawei Experience Stores and through official online platforms on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop, where early buyers can also snag time-limited vouchers worth up to S$30 off. The tablet will hit other retailers, including Challenger, MetaPod, and SprintCass, from 30 August 2025.
With its upgraded display tech, boosted performance, and creative tools, Huawei’s latest mid-range tablet could be an appealing choice for students, professionals, and digital artists who want Pro-level features without stretching their budget.
