Galaxy S25 FE Leak Hints at Subtle Upgrades, Including Faster Charging

(Cover image source: Notebookcheck)

A new leak has revealed what we can expect from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, and while the changes may not be groundbreaking, they’re certainly welcome upgrades for fans of Samsung’s Fan Edition line. Slated for an official reveal in the coming weeks, this refreshed model brings slight improvements in battery, charging, and design.

Small Battery Bump, Big Charging Boost

Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 FE, the Galaxy S25 FE will come with a 4,900mAh battery, up from 4,700mAh. But the bigger upgrade is in charging—Samsung is finally boosting the wired charging speed to 45W, up from the previous 25W. That’s a long-overdue change, especially as many mid-range and flagship competitors already support faster charging.

Slightly Slimmer and More Pocket-Friendly

Samsung is also giving the S25 FE a slightly more compact build. The new dimensions are 161.3 x 76.6 x 7.4 mm, which is just a touch smaller than the S24 FE’s 162 x 77.3 x 8.0 mm. It’s a subtle change, but fans who prefer slimmer and lighter phones may appreciate the updated form factor.

Same Triple-Camera Setup, Same Display Specs

Most of the core specs will carry over from the S24 FE:

  • Display: 6.7-inch AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Rear Cameras:
    • 50MP f/1.8 main
    • 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide
    • 8MP f/2.4 telephoto
  • Water/Dust Resistance: IP68 certified

This familiar hardware setup means users can expect reliable camera performance and vibrant visuals on the AMOLED display—hallmarks of the FE series.

Launch Timeline: Sooner Than Expected?

According to Samsung’s recent earnings call, the Galaxy S25 FE is set to launch earlier than usual this year. With last year’s Galaxy S24 pre-orders kicking off on 27 September, fans can expect an official announcement sometime this month or early September.

What to Expect Overall

While the Galaxy S25 FE doesn’t reinvent the wheel, its minor refinements—especially the 45W fast charging—address key complaints from past users. Combined with a familiar, reliable spec sheet and Samsung’s software support, this phone could be another solid choice in the upper mid-range segment.

Stay tuned, as we expect more details and official confirmation from Samsung very soon.
