Singapore is officially the first international market to receive the new Honor Magic V5, following its recent launch in China. Priced at S$2,199 for the 512GB variant, the foldable smartphone is now available for pre-order, with official sales starting 23 July 2025.
The Honor Magic V5 continues the brand’s pursuit of ultra-thin foldables, delivering top-tier performance wrapped in a sleek, featherlight design. At 8.8mm when folded and weighing just 217g, it’s one of the slimmest foldables on the market—lighter than the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

One of the standout features of the Magic V5 is its silicon-carbon battery, specially designed to reduce bulk without compromising capacity. While the China version packs a 6,100mAh cell, the Singapore model gets a slightly smaller but still impressive 5,820mAh battery.
Honor says the battery layers are just 0.18mm thick, roughly the size of a human hair. This contributes significantly to the phone’s slim profile. Additionally, the rear panel features a new “golden soft silk armour”, made from a 0.014mm special fibre commonly used in astronaut suits. According to Honor, this offers 40 times better impact resistance than previous foldables.
The Super Steel Hinge has also been reengineered using precision manufacturing and AI-assisted design, achieving 0.03mm accuracy and 500 individual hinge components, further reducing weight while improving structural integrity.
Flagship Specs with a Focus on Photography and Performance
Inside, the Honor Magic V5 runs on the full-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite processor, unlike some competitors that settle for lower-core versions due to hardware constraints. The internal display is a 7.95-inch OLED panel with a 5,000-nit peak brightness, while the outer display is protected by ultra-durable glass with improved drop, wear, and scratch resistance, plus an anti-bacterial coating.
