Realme has officially announced that the GT 8 smartphone series will debut in October 2025, introducing a new design language, top-tier performance hardware, and significant battery upgrades.

A Fresh Design Approach
Realme’s Vice President Wang Wei confirmed that the new GT 8 lineup will showcase a “surprise” in design, signalling a departure from the aesthetics of previous GT models. Leaks suggest slimmer bezels, refined materials, and improved durability, with the Pro variant featuring a premium metal midframe.
Flagship Performance
Both the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, a processor built on a cutting-edge fabrication process designed to deliver enhanced speed, energy efficiency, and AI processing capabilities. This chip is expected to rival the best Android flagship processors in 2025.
Displays That Impress
GT 8: Equipped with a 6.6-inch flat display, optimized for efficiency and compact handling.
GT 8 Pro: Rumored to sport a larger 6.85-inch 2K OLED display with anti-glare technology, offering better outdoor visibility and an immersive viewing experience.

Power & Charging
The standard GT 8 is reportedly equipped with a 7,000 mAh battery, a rare feature in flagship smartphones, designed to deliver multi-day usage. The GT 8 Pro could match or slightly exceed this capacity and is expected to support 100 W fast charging, capable of filling the battery in under 30 minutes.
Camera Innovations
While the standard GT 8’s camera specifications remain under wraps, the Pro model is expected to introduce a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, delivering exceptional zoom capabilities. Additional enhancements like advanced image stabilization and AI-powered scene optimization are anticipated.
Premium Touches in the Pro Model
The GT 8 Pro is tipped to include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, upgraded haptic feedback motors, dual stereo speakers, and potential IP-rated dust and water resistance. These refinements are designed to elevate the premium user experience.
Software & UI
Out of the box, both devices are expected to run Realme UI 7 based on Android 16, offering faster animations, improved multitasking features, and tighter integration with AI-powered tools.
