OPPO has started pushing its ColorOS 15 July 2025 update to users worldwide after an initial China release, bringing fresh AI-powered camera tools, interface tweaks, and small but useful quality‑of‑life improvements. Rollout completion is targeted by July 31, 2025 for supported models.

What’s new

AI Perfect Shot helps fix group photos by swapping facial expressions, while AI Group Photo Composer can add a missing person into a shot—features clearly reminiscent of Google’s “Best Take” and “Add Me.” You can now stack same‑size widgets by dragging them together, export videos as Live Photos, apply a soft‑light camera filter, and enjoy tidier auto‑sorted voice recordings. Alarm volume can gradually ramp up, mini windows behave more flexibly, and you can hide selected albums from the main gallery view.

OPPO’s official ColorOS 15 overview reiterates that AI availability may vary by region and requires an internet connection for cloud features.

Eligible devices (initial wave)

  • Find series: Find N5; Find X8 / X8 Pro; Find N3 / N3 Flip
  • Reno series: Reno13 / 13 Pro; Reno12 / 12 Pro; Reno11 / 11 Pro

OPPO states the rollout for these models should wrap up by end of July 2025, with staged availability depending on region and carrier.

Why it matters

The July package keeps ColorOS 15 in step with the broader AI camera trend, giving OPPO’s latest phones Pixel‑like conveniences for group photos while polishing everyday UX items (widgets, alarms, mini windows). Expect staggered delivery across markets, with exact timing influenced by local approvals and device batches.
