Lenovo has broken with three decades of ThinkPad tradition, introducing a Moonlight White finish for its premium ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition in both 14- and 15-inch sizes. It marks the first time a ThinkPad ships in white, achieved via a new anti-discoloration coating that wards off the yellowing that often plagues pale laptops.
Beyond the fresh coat of paint, hardware remains unchanged from the dark-grey models launched at CES 2025. Buyers still get vibrant 2.8K OLED panels refreshing at 120 Hz, Intel’s latest Core Ultra “Lunar Lake” processors up to Ultra 9 288V, integrated Intel Arc graphics, and as much as 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM with 2 TB PCIe 4.0 storage.
Battery capacities differ by size—55 Wh on the 14-inch, 80 Wh on the 15-inch—while the 1.21 kg/1.4 kg chassis still meets MIL-STD-810H durability and houses Dolby Atmos speakers, a haptic trackpad, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. A dedicated NPU delivers up to 48 TOPS for on-device AI tasks, making the laptop Copilot+-ready out of the box.
The Moonlight White ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition is rolling out first in China at CNY 12,999 (≈ USD 1,815 / PHP ~103,000) for the base 14-inch configuration, with the top-specced 15-inch model reaching CNY 16,999. Lenovo has yet to confirm wider availability, leaving global fans to wait for an official timeline.
