Apple has introduced two new monitors designed to elevate the Mac experience: the refreshed Studio Display and the all-new Studio Display XDR. Both models combine sleek design with powerful performance, catering to everyday users and creative professionals alike.

Studio Display
The updated Studio Display retains its familiar 27-inch 5K Retina panel, now enhanced with Thunderbolt 5 connectivity for faster data transfer and daisy-chaining up to four displays. It features a 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View, making video calls more natural, while a six-speaker system with Spatial Audio delivers immersive sound. With over 14 million pixels and P3 wide colour, it’s ideal for productivity, entertainment, and casual creative work. Prices start at RM6,499 (RM6,089 for education).
Studio Display XDR
For professionals, the Studio Display XDR takes visuals to the next level. Its 27-inch 5K Retina XDR panel uses advanced mini-LED backlighting, achieving 2000 nits peak HDR brightness, 1000 nits SDR, and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. With 120Hz Adaptive Sync, motion looks smoother whether editing video or gaming. Colour accuracy is top-notch, supporting both Adobe RGB and P3 wide colour gamut. Like the Studio Display, it includes the same camera, audio system, and Thunderbolt 5 setup. Prices start at RM13,499 (RM13,089 for education).
Options & Availability
Both models are available with standard or nano-texture glass, plus stand choices (tilt-only, tilt + height, or VESA mount). Pre-orders in Malaysia begin March 9, 2026, with availability rolling out soon after.
With these launches, Apple is clearly positioning the Studio Display XDR as the go-to choice for professionals who demand uncompromising brightness, colour precision, and smooth performance, while the Studio Display remains a versatile option for everyday Mac users.
