So you want to achieve the prettiest lifestyle shots, but without the bulk of traditional camera set ups?
In our eyes, using the telephoto on the OPPO Find X9 series is great for achieving beautiful lifestyle shots. No matter which phone you choose, both the OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will take great photos, though the Pro version has some serious upgrades that photography lovers will appreciate.
To celebrate that fact, we had also hosted a photography workshop, inviting our fans to experience the same euphoria we get from our OPPO Find X9 Pro review experience.
Best Phones That Give The Nicest Bokeh
Both phones have a 50MP main camera for everyday shots, but the Pro's camera sensor is slightly larger and lets in more light, which means you can achieve better photos in dim conditions. The biggest difference is in the zoom camera. On the regular Find X9 is a solid 50MP zoom lens, whereas the Pro gets a massive 200MP zoom camera that captures incredibly detailed shots from far away. That's akin to the difference between binoculars and a telescope.
The phones also have the same wide-angle camera for group shots and landscapes, along with an extra sensor that helps make colours look more natural.
Because the series can gather more than twice the amount of light compared to the Find X8 series, users can capture clearer shots of even lighting even when there is high contrast affected by the sun or shadows.
Aside from taking photos of distant subjects like concerts, sports games, or nature, the Pro is worth the upgrade if you want the best quality of zoom. Otherwise if you want more regular photos and occasional zoomed shots with your friends, the standard Find X9 is perfect.
Our Cafe Photography Workshop with OPPO
The ProductNation team also recently hosted its first ever free photography workshop, which was in collaboration with OPPO Malaysia, where we gave an intimate photography sessions to our fans and readers.
In the workshop were three factions of photography: Travel, Food and Portrait. Each participant went through a demonstration session, led by our Creative Director, Umar Naqshbandi.
With the OPPO Find X9 series, the workshop focused on achieving several key espects that would enhance one's photography skills and perspective. In the demonstration session, it covered
- Portrait: Posing and framing, using natural light as a direction for the model
- Food: Top-down shots and at 45°, placing focus on texture & shadows in the details
- Travel: Following leading lines of buildings and its structure, as well as using surrounding environment for storytelling
Using these simple cues, each participant would then partake in directing and developing their own assignment shots, showing off their artistic flair.
Aside from working with smartphone photography, the workshop highlighted tricks to enhance photo-editing using OPPO's ColorOS 16 features.
With AI Relight and Photo Remaster, Umar demonstrated live edits using the participants' assignment photos. The aforementioned features are designed to brighten faces & tones naturally, enhancing facial highlights & improving ambience. Through these simple features, the photos were edited to enhance warmth and texture—details that impact the storytelling aspect of bustling cafés—to life.
The session ended with another trick up OPPO's ColorOS 16 sleeves. In the demo, participants also partook in using Gemini Live and OPPO's AI Mind Space to create a visual setup of a wall with postcards of cafe photos, as well as got a glimpse of Gemini Live handling scheduling and such. This part of the demo session demonstrated the OPPO Find X9 series as tools to help you plan holidays before and after a trip.
At the final time of the day, all participants took back valuable contemporary experiences, having learned how to use Google Gemini on the OPPO Find X9 to create photo captions and complete their modern photography journey.
Through the workshop, the OPPO Find X9 series demonstrated its capabilities to provide users the best photography experience from start till the end, ensuring every step from production to publishing is covered seamlessly.
